So, it looks like Axis Football 18 is STILL going to see a release on the PS4. Soon. Yeah, it's April 2019, but they just got it certified according to a video from RyanMoody21.

I'm torn. I would like to support them, but there will be Axis Football 19 in what? Four months from now? If they release at a bargain price, like $10 or less, I'll probably get it. Waiting on a review or two might not be a bad idea either.

Is there an option to play with a horizontal camera?

Considering this game to support a small, but willing to improve company. For those that have played, I am interested in the customization aspect. Uniform edits look amazing. From a console perspective are there options to change logos/colors of teams? From what I've seen in videos it doesnt look like it. I'd like to fully customize a league or at least a few teams.

Also player edits. Are there helmet/face mask/accessory options? Obviously I'm not expecting madden level of options, but just wanting to know if every player is going to look the same.

Does any PS4 user actually have this? I don't see it even listed on Playstation dot com.

As for uniform editing? It looks like mostly changing colors.

I did buy this on ps4 and was hoping to make ncaa teams. It's weird, helmet colors can be changed to preset colors only and the logo only stays on the helmet for certain colors. Face masks cannot be edited on their own but change color with some of the helmet colors. You can customize the style, color and outlines of the numbers and names on the front and back of the jerseys. They have a few preset colors for jersey top and bottoms but you cant even set custom colors for those or add designs or stripes. You can edit team names and add custom jerseys to any team but cannot change the team logo or colors of the logo or the default jerseys. You cant edit sock color! . There are preset colors for shoes.

Thanks for the reply. As much as I want to support these indie football games, it sounds like I should just wait for the 2019 version. Depends on the price, how much was it on PS4?

$19.99. Yeah for the next game it would be great if we could have a logo editor and more customization options. It would also be nice to be able to make and save a bunch of teams to be able to just drop them into custom leagues so we can have saves for multiple leagues at the same time.

Yeah, I found Axis Football while browsing through my PS4. A $20 price point, coming less than 6 months from the 2019 version? I'd drop $10 on Axis Football 2019 right now, maybe even $15, but at $20 I'm inclined to just wait for the next game.

I have had fun playing the game and the jerseys of the teams that come on the game look good in my opinion. It does need work on framerate and how smooth the game plays(there is occasional stutter although not much) but im pumped about this game and hope they keep making it every year.

Are you playing on a PS4 Pro? I have one, mainly so I'd have the best PSVR I could get, and it really smoothed up games like No Man's Sky. Of course, the developers have to support the enhanced features on the Pro.

The potential of having more options for videogame football is why it's worth supporting games like Axis Football and Doug Flutie Maximum Football. I may hold off til Axis Football 2019 hits, then if it plays a decent game of football, buy copies for myself and a couple friends.

As these games improve, the sales/awareness should increase too. EA will always dominate since they have the NFL license, but there is room for some independent football games too.

Im on one of the oringinal ps4s that i bought a 2TB harddrive for. I dont think the stuttering is from my system because it does not happen w other games.

This game's progress is about where NFL 2k3/2k2. The game play is slightly better and the franchise is further ahead. I think the hard work is all done. Some of the minor things needed are visual/graphics.

                          Some key game play fixes:
                          - QB throws feel a bit lifeless/weightless-- overall a bit stale (see NFL 2k5).

                          - Add right stick jukes. Maybe a stiff arm button

                          - An interception button.
                          - A strip ball button.

                          - Custom Keypad mapping.

                          - Better QB animations (at least 5 different QB stances/releases)

                          - Different running animations for RBs and also for fat lineman (i.e., they should waddle).

For franchise I'd like to see:
                          - News update maybe like a magazine similar to the NCAA franchise. Of course a 2k5 halftime show and weekly review would be ideal.

                          - Stat tracking over several years (like players having their own "baseball card"). This should also include Superbowl wins and awards like NBA2k18
                          - Player progression based solely off their numbers.

This game has to get some pass defense going. It’s nearly impossible for the CPU to cover on any difficulty level. Would this be fixed by having more plays? The offense has 20+ formations with 30+ plays each. The defense has 6 with 8 each and the defensive plays don’t really make much sense.

Xbox one here. Bought it yesterday.

Struggling with Defense- game speed seems very fast. Love the customization. Would be great to share roster edits. Can't figure out how to edit certain teams.

Still haven't figured out how to change the time on the quarters- that being said, I probably won't because my defense is so weak. Like others have said, an interception or better power strafe button would be helpful.

I'm very impressed by this effort! The franchise mode will keep me busy. I toned down the game speed and it's playing pretty smooth...

I've been playing at the third tier on the highest difficulty levels for both offense and defense. Game is now too easy. Would like more sliders if possible.

Enjoying the game still- wheeling and dealing as a GM and getting to know some of the other players.
