I am into my second season with Axis and it's a nice change from Madden, although the two really shouldn't be compared side by side.

While I find the three tiers with promotion and relegation a nice touch, I am finding that the structure is not the only thing that is soccer-like. The scores of the games (all spectated) are painfully low.

Into week 4, ten teams have been shut out, 29 have been held to single-digit scores, but three of those still won 6-0. Makes for less than stimulating football.

It seems the offensive choices can take much of the blame. I would guess 80-90% of all passes are in the flat or WR screens that net three yards or less more often than not. Very few passes are thrown downfield.

I have looked at options but I see nothing to change how AI teams play.
