DO YOU THINK BY EDITING THE PLAYERS YOU CAN MAKE THE OFFENSIVE LINE PROTECT BETTER? HAVE THE QB THROW LESS INTs?

For those of you that don't know Finn, he created the editor for ESPN NFL 2k5, allowing us to edit every player in the game individually or edit them ALL in one click on your PC and import them into the game.

You can edit all players by position- all QBs or all DTs or all OL or all WRs, whatever, or individually. Change their names, heights, weights, create depth charts, even rename teams and create schedules. It's fantastic. Some of us created classic teams for the 60s, 70s , 80s and 90s and some people are creating new rosters for the 2011 season. It never gets old.

This sounds like a possible great fix for offline play. But will it cause people to create monster cheese teams for online play?

Editing all the offensive linemen to 99 will fix their AI to block better, but we'll have to tweak things once we start experimenting.

My apologies mrjordan. Just don't want to see what I've personally found to be a fantastic onlining gaming experience go to waste because of a few bad apples.

I'm going to do some testing with ratings adjustments this weekend and playing the CPU. I'll let you guys know what I find.

As for people editing their teams and taking them online - of course that's going to happen. For me, it doesn't bother me - I'll just press the 'quit' button

I want to try some stuff but I don't know much about hex or anything. I opened it up in hex editor but can't tell where the ratings are. Can you point me in the right direction.

I tried it and it does work. It is extremely time consuming. I am actually trying out some ratings combos to see if the dline can be less effective without making runs up the middle too easy as well as trying to improve cpu QB play.

Any way to tweak the secondary to lower the amount of INT's in the game? The secondary guys never seem to drop a pass that is within 5 yards of them.
