Will 20 have player injuries? If so, will there be various types and explanations what they injured? I didn’t get much of a chance to play 19, but now with the conferences in, it’ll be a buy tomorrow if injuries are confirmed.

Injuries are in the game. There is no specific explanation like torn MCL but you'll see the player animation holding their leg or head, etc.

Re: Doug Flutie's Maximum Football 2020 Development Thread

I'm new to this game so please forgive the silly or known questions but:

          1) How many college teams are in the game?

          2) Are they in conferences?

          3) How much editing can be done (change conference names, re-align conferences, re-name bowl games)

          4) Is there a community locker/vault where logos, players, etc...can be uploaded?

Again I apologize in advance if these are stupid/known/silly questions, but I'm looking for a fix of football this year and the current market isn't fulfilling that itch.

Thank you very much in advance.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I know that the answer to #4 is no, sadly. I'll let Spear or somebody else handle the rest (he has an explanation for #4 somewhere as well, so he might be able to provide that for you).

              1. 130 Teams but we also have a 27 Canadian College League Structure.

              2. Yes they are in conferences

              3. Editing is limited to teams, rosters, logos, uniforms, etc. No conference information or alignment can be edited.

              4. No there isn't - full explanation here: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-football.html

Spear I know you probably feel like your beating a dead horse with this. But did you ever look into what PES does with the option files? These files are all hosted by 3rd parties and Konami wipes their hands of any liability. With PES you can transfer these files over via USB stick. You know how many licenses and how much money is involved with Soccer so what are they doing that can't be incorporated into your game?

I would be willing to contribute money and I am sure others would be open to this as well. A solid pure football game is awesome but being able to create and share would take it to the next level. Modifying the game takes multiple people and is time consuming. All I ask is that from someone who is purchasing this year's game please look at what PES does. Thanks for your time. Below is just a snippet found via a quick google search:

"What is an Option File for PES?
An option file – or patch – is created by an independent party, and can be downloaded on the game to add items that are missing. Games such as PES and Football Manager can have option files added to them to bring across the kits, crests and branding they do not have the licenses for"

I am familiar with PES and the Option files as I've done that as a user.

The issue then becomes creating a custom system in-game to manage and import those files. The development time on that would be significant. We all know Konami's size so for them it was probably a nonissue.

Fair enough. Really what it boils down to is we want and need competition. Everyone knows that it solicits innovation. When you don't have competition you become stale and complacent.

It really is sad when you think the last time I really enjoyed playing video game football was back when it was Madden and NFL 2K5. It's crazy that it was over 15 years ago. We are all rooting for you guys and it's amazing what you and Danny (Axis) have done in just a few short years.

The last couple of years I have been supporting Axis but you guys have made such amazing strides that I am definitely going with your game for the first time this year. Can't wait till tomorrow.

No set time. I believe the DEV said it was a rolling release.

Don't know as it's a rolling release. Last year we were in both stores by 12pm EST - hopefully it's the same this year but who knows.

Backstory - I reconnected with an old friend who is a documentary filmmaker that just happens to have a studio across the street from Dave's office! Pre-COVID we were in production for a documentary We wanted to share some of the footage that was captured so far.

Game is out on Xbox One I Gave it a shot. I like all the customizable options in the game. Just played one quarter and the tackling looks really good.

Run game is kind of difficult but the passing game is kind of easy as long as you don’t bullet pass.

Have run into one glitch on some running plays the QB will try and hand the ball off and just spin in circles for a while before handing off. Just some of my thoughts obviously you need to play it with an open mind.
