Re: 10 Things Need Change/Fix for Next HC
I like the idea of having to teach a playbook, but it's too hard, imo. I mean, I can pick just one play per practice? Do real NFL teams only do one play per practice and have to learn the rest in the middle of a game?
And during the regular season, I can no longer give focused instruction to a player? Not even a rookie? I mean, if I'm installing a new batch of plays, why would I basically say "well, men, you're on your own learning it now" just because it's week 1?
Why can't I work with Josh Johnson all year like I can in the preseason? Why am I leaving him to sink or swim (except for learning 1 play per practice)? What NFL coach does that to their rookie QB?
Why is it that when I "work with the Quarterbacks" it doesn't focus on plays that are the weakest/most unlearned? I don't need to practice a max-mastered, 90 success play. I need that unknown 30 success play practiced.
Just think the play learning aspect can be fleshed out more to give more feeling of teaching a playbook instead of just taking a major "gamey" penalty."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Re: 10 Things Need Change/Fix for Next HC
I would really like the option to start off as a position coach and work my way up. OLine> OC> Head Coach. LB> DC> HC.
Then HC > HC/GM duties gradually. Start with just Depth chart responsibilties, then play calling authority, and then draft war room suggestions, to total control of the whole world.
Like Parcells, if you want me to cook the food then let me shop for the groceries.Comment

Would also allow you to develop your skills instead of being the worst coach in NFL history when starting out."Some people call it butterflies, but to him, it probably feels like pterodactyls in his stomach." --Plesac in MLB18Comment

Why not be able to have assistant coaches??
and another thing is why only a trainer. A package should come with them like a strength coach etc..

If I have plays in the book they knew already - why are the unlearned suddenly? I thought it was per play, not per book?

Re: 10 Things Need Change/Fix for Next HC
1. CPU need to sub players in/out.
2. AI Needs to read personnel coming in to call the right defense formations.
3. DL/OL Interaction.
4. Make the draft harder. Too easy to find Gems.
5. Make OL/DL Ratings mean something. It seems anyone can play OL and pancake elite DL.
6. OL get injured way too much in this game.
7. Let's see "Roughing The Passer" penalties called in this game.
8. Lower players ratings more so they have to play out there years to reach their potential. It seems an 80 rated HB is close to a 90 rated HB. You really can't tell the difference.
9. Fix the AI playing calling on both sides. It seems if i allow my OC/DC to call plays, they sometimes call the same 3 plays over and over.
10. Get rid of Difining Moment and emotions reactions.
2. Should have the ability to help with game planning, choosing which type of plays will most likely be called (I let the OC/DC call plays, so this is critical for realism).
3. Ability to gameplan around certain star players, or assign more attention to a certain player.
4. Ability to set sub packages for individual formations and plays outside of the game.
5. Ability to communicate with players/asst. coaches in game.
6. Halftime adjustments.
7. Advanced scout report of upcoming opponent.
8. Individual training of players (improve individual aspects such as speed, strength, agility, catching, weight gain/loss).
9. Scratch defining moment.
10. NFL Gameday Final show with highlights would be nice for each week like ESPN 2K5 used to have Sports Center show after every game.Comment

Re: 10 Things Need Change/Fix for Next HC
Need to rebuild the Sim/SuperSim engines especially Sim.
I super sim a game and Josh Johnson throws 2-4 TDs with 0-2 INTs.
I sim that same game, he goes 0 TD, 3-4 INTs with a QB rating in the single digits. Meanwhile in supersim, my HBs are struggling to get 3-4 ypc but in sim, they are getting 4 TDs between them and 5+ ypc.
