Just be patient. I'm pretty sure Cage is still working on it. We've been waiting for 4 years for a roster update, we should be able to wait some more days...

tbf, i'm not having a go and am clearly incredibly appreciative of his efforts! i just noticed that he hadn't posted in the thread for a week or so.

I have not forgotten or given up on making this work...
For what ever reason the same teams freeze no matter what I do to create or update their coaches.
I may have to leave the original coaches in place and simply rename and update their playbooks and philosophies .. Not sure what else I can do...

I work retail and this past week as been setting up my store for the Halloween season.. Means working 65 to 70 hours for the next few weeks.

I am working this a few hours each night...

I'd like to thanks Cage for all his work.

I've been looking into the roster editor myself and have found that it is actually fairly easy to use. I'm currently working on a custom roster mixing 09, current rosters and some legends.

I'd suggest to D/L Brute Force (see Madden editor Threads) which allows you to get the file into a readable format as well as the Editor Created by Xan.

The editor contains tables of raw data that can export into a CSV and then be imported back in.

I've included an attachment mapping the table codes to the relevant attribute.

I havent figured out all of the mappings and it appears that not all of the coach data is editable.

Let me know if anyone figures out more of these codes or if you can figure out how to edit special skills or the development / learning skills for coaches.

I'm rooting for you Cage for a fix for the freezing issue. I really can't tell you how much all your hard work is appreciated. I wish I could do all that stuff but I'm just a casual gamer. But I love this gane and to have the updated rosters is unbelievable. I'll be checking for fix and I can't wait. Again, your awesome!!! Thank you so much!

I leave for 6 months and come back to find Cage with a PS3 edition of 2013 rosters!!! AMAZING!! Cage this is huge. Thanks for all the work. I DLed the rosters and look forward to running with them. Hopefully Pete Carroll and the Seahawks work for me. I now have a new reason to play the game again.

I tried to use the roster and it froze each time. I tried scrolling through teams and it froze. Then I just ran with my favorite team Seattle and selected current coach and it froze when going to the pre-season. Then I tried creating a coach and it froze before even getting to the creation screen.

Somethings I noticed is a lot of players with years left and dollar amounts in FA. I know in Madden Sim Leagues I was in that having anything in the Years Left or Years Remaining in the contract would cause the file to crash. I am curious to know if that might be the issue and not really the coaches themselves.

Also why is Peyton a 95 and then Brady is a 80? Just found that interesting. Good work though man. I wanna play with it so bad. Hopefully my thoughts will help with the file.

I've been working on a custom roster file.

It mixes some legends, Current Rosters, and some 09 favorites.

If you are interested let me know and I could post the file or maybe help you out in making your own edits.

Cage, I got the file to work. Yay! My only issue is that all the coaches default philosphies are messed up. Defense is all Balanced...which is fine but the Offense is all off. QBs are Mobile, HBs Speed, FBs Ball Carrier, WRs Strong/Blocking, TEs Soft Hands/Routes, and OL is Size/Strength/Engulfers. I think they should all be defaulted to Balanced at least. That way players ratings are shown correctly. But I do have to admit that the players ratings do go up once the file gets going. I was concerned but it appears to have worked its self out. However I am seeing a lot of decent players getting cut and not picked up in FA. Oh and one more thing it seems the Approval Rating is glitched. My rating only goes down and if it goes up after a win its by a point. I started with a rating of 25 and am now a 10. Thats after accomplishing goals and winning games. I dont know what more to do. Suggestions?

I've got the file up and running on my system right now! It looks awesome and may bring me back in to this game! Thanks a lot.

It's been tested in a "play now" game and I've started a career with a created coach with no problems after I followed the 'reordering depth chart' instruction outside of the career. I haven't tested the roster yet in career, but fingers are crossed for sure!

Edit: It looks like it ran fine upon starting a preseason game!

So do you have to delete all of your saves in order to do use the new rosters?

Jshrolltide, no you do not have to delete anything. Just go to start a new career and choose the team and existing or created coach and then select the new rosters and begin. Keep in mind that all the staff will be different so dont pick Holmgren and the Seahawks and try to start with Holmgren cause once the file starts it will be Carroll and not Holmgren. I hope this helps you out man.
