Right. Against a fading Oakland team, who subsequently handed the Jets a quick exit from the playoffs last year.

Oakland didn't have a lot to lose last year, with the division sewn up with Denver losing the early game. This year, everything is up in the air. Expect to see a team more closely resembling the playoff team the Jets lost to, rather than the "resting" team they beat.

Yea, and expect a much better Jets team too. The JEts weren't very good last year, they got a lot of breaks, but should have been a 7-9 or 8-8 team. This year they are much better.

I have no doubt that they are. But your point was that they proved they could win last year. Last year was last year

I'm definitely scared of Pennington and Martin. That will be the key to the entire game. That, and the Jets' ability to get Oakland's offense off the field.

Ok I see your point. It should be a good game, I'm not guranteeing victory, but it will be much more than a "bump in the road" for the Raidors.

Didn't say bump in the road, I said speed bump.

A speed bump slows you down, which is exactly what I think the Jets are going to do. I think the Raiders will pull it out, but not with the 100 mph wide open offense they've been able to run lately.

I wouldn't consider the Jets to be a team that's easily squashed.

These days, anything is possible in the NFL. It doesn't mean it will happen, though. Yeah, the Jets won a big game in Oakland last year to get in the playoffs, but when they played them a week later in the wild card game, they got smoked.
Denver hasn't been looking dominant, but they are still a really good team and will be in the playoffs. Ditto for Green Bay and probably New England, though they are prone to laying an egg at any moment. Oakland looks really strong right now, too. I will be surprised if the Jets win any more than 2 of those games.

That's part of what scares me. The last time I thought Oakland looked dominant, they laid 4 eggs in a row .

Nobody knows what's going to happen out there, it's a great time to be an NFL fan.
