Actually, I don't think it is.

Kurt Warner and Terrell Davis' career arcs are pretty similar and there has been a lot of support for Davis to the HOF.

Again, Warner will be the only 2-time league MVP not to be in the HOF.

    It's a valid question.

There are worse players in the HOF all ready...

But neither of those two will get in, too little of a time period for voters nowadays.

There would probably be more support for him if he was forced to retire rather than have a few good years and then bounce around from team to team.

Remember tho, Davis is getting support due to the Sayers precedent. His career ended prematurely. Warner's didn't end due to injury. His career has been hampered by injuries but it hasn't been catastrophic to his playing in the league.

You know....I would agree with you except none of us know just how much of an affect those concussions had on him the past few years. That, as much as anything, is more to blame for his moving from team to team and ultimate benching.

A knee injury is a more tangible reason for a rapid decline at the RB position for people to accept than concussions are to the QB position but just as much as a factor in my opinion.

OK, what about Flutie? Or Rich Gannon? Testaverde? Damon Allen? Where do you draw the line?

While I don't think he should be in, the next few years will be interesting, especially with regards to receivers who have been statistically great, but not great players. I think if the absolute right circumstances cam up, it's possible.

Several people have said Tiki should be in, and I don't think see too much of a difference between Tiki and Warner.

Warner got his shot too late.. I think he was 30 when he got his chance.. So hes in the same boat as TD.. Terrell davis.. just didnt play long enough

If he win the SB this year leading the Cardinals then I will say hell yeah but that's not going to happen or is it.

Allen is the career leading in passing yards in a career

Anyways he and Flutie are locks..........in the CFL HOF

I always liked Doug Flutie. I never understood why the Bills chose Rob Johnson over him.

He doesn't have the longevity to deserve a spot. If he would have done what he did over those 3 seasons, but continued to do it for at least 5 or more seasons then yes. When he hurt his pinkie I think it was the beginning of the end for a HOF career.

The key to the Greatest Show on Turf was Warner's ability to hit his receivers right on time in stride allowing them to get a lot of yards after catch.
