Re: Favre to the Vikings?
Its 50/50 as of now. I don't want him to come back, but I feel that now that he's visited the vikes that theres a good chance he could play. I won't be surprised if he does.Originally posted by WatsonTigerOne out of 7 billion, and we still tagged your ***.Comment

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I wonder if Favre will have the audacity to want to skip offseason workouts, & be given the job before training camp starts.Originally posted by VP Richard M. NixonI always remember that whatever I have done in the past, or may do in the future, Duke University is responsible one way or the other.
Thanks, dookies!Comment

Favre needs to disappear in the jungles of Central Africa.
This guy is an even bigger tool than Roger Clemens.I write things on the Internet.

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
You know, Favre has never done well in domes in his career so in a way I hope he goes there and completely and totally flames out. I want to see him get in a power struggle with Childress as that offense will stifle Favre's "greatness" and I want to see him lose the respect and confidence of his teamates in Minny.

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I have nothing but respect for Brett Favre, with that said, I don't want him to come back to the NFL. The circus that is the end-career of Brett Favre is quite simply getting to the point where I am going, "enough already ..."
If by chance he does come back (again), well, I wish him well. I think Minnesota poses a better situation than say the NY Jets scenario last season - handing off to AP could very well lead to an ending deserved of such a great player.
As I've said before, it's a damn shame some of the great players just don't know when they've had enough. Favre is a lock for the HOF, though the season at the Jets and any other hiccup here will leave a blotch on his career for mine. A sour taste if you will.
Randell Cunningham had somewhat of a second career at the Vikes (albeit he had a WR duo of Chris Carter and Randy Moss), maybe Favre will share the same good fortune if he returns.Supporter of: St Louis Rams, Miami Hurricanes, LA Lakers, LA Galaxy, LA Dodgers, Manchester Utd.Comment

Re: Favre to the Vikings?
I'm over Brett Favre.
He's exposing himself as a Marino like narcisist, and there is no doubt how the sychophants in the media are going to cover this if this happens:
"Favre is in the best shape of his career....Favre's never felt comfortable in new york....Reuniting with Brad childresh has brought the fire back to his game..." and all of that nonsense.Comment

I wonder how the media is gonna spin the whole "Farve doesn't do well in domes"excuse when he signs with the Vikings.Comment

Re: Favre cut by Jets, how long
Favre has, and always will be incredibly selfish and self-centered.
I was probably the only Jets fan who denounced the moves as legions of Jets faithful delusionally thought the Jets were Super Bowl bound behind the golden arm of Favre. Favre has had one good year out of the last 4. My rooting interest in the Jets dropped to near zero when they got this bum. Its too bad the Vikings may have to deal with him.
There are still Jets fans who think getting Favre and missing the playoffs was a better accomplishment than what Pennington did with the Dolphins- there are message boards where Jets "fans" still rip Pennington.
Thank goodness Favre isn't on the Jets anymore, that's all that needs to be said.
I have never had anything but respect and appreciation for Chad Pennington. In general, Jet's fan treated him horribly.
He's bright, he can lead, he's sacraficed himself for the team.
he wont melt down and blow a game for you. this guy played a road playoff game with a shoulder that needed surgery and came within a missed FG from winning the game.
You cant ask of too much more out of your quarterback. Give me 10 Chad Penningtons, before you give me this narcisist.Comment
