Can we just enjoy both games?? I lean more toward Madden because its so much more polished but ever since the annoucement of tha football games Ive been playin 2K3. Its a great game. I cant wait 4 both but since Ive been playin 2K3 Im looking 4ward 2 2k4 I wanna see what Sega's got. Im gettin both. So far though Madden is sounding incredible.

sportsgeist WTF?! You're complaining cause they tell us what's been added or finally added? And right, you say it's a rip-off to add something good (like new playbooks) that people want only cause another game already had it. Yeah, . Not to mention that your break down was straight from a fan boy manual.

Did you even read the description of playmaker control....Madden had hot routes way before 2k...they were also the first football game to have audibles...anyways, it's also calling out blocks while running and directing receievers, neither of which is in 2k3.

            <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
Actually maximum passing doesnt control receivers, it is controlling the location of your passes, I.E. holding the stick left when you press the pass button leads the receiver to the left, etc etc. Actually this is an Idea from EA, madden was the first game to have Pass sensativity...Sega just called it "maxium passing". Again, you play so much 2k3 but dont even know what the features do? Directing recievers means the qb can actually tell them to break routes during the play.

Actually I have. I haven't owned a Madden game since 1999 and still haven't lost yet. It's just a testament on how weak Madden's gameplay still is.

Well i find that hard to believe as Madden 2004 doesnt come out till August. Also i find it hard to believe that you hadn't lost a game of madden since 99...you either play on the easiest setting and hadn't played a quality opponent...i find that very hard to believe.

just because two games have similar things doesnt mean they are ripping th other game off. i like that broken bat for baseball games analogy somebody posted.
its also like saying, these two games have real players and logos and then saying one is ripping off the other for that.
or, its liek saying this game added new tackling animations, but the other game added some new ones years ago and blaming them for stealing.

Sportsgeist, by your logic since Madden was the first fb game to use an elevated end zone camera angle (as opposed to a sideline cam a la Tecmo Bowl), every single fb title released since has been a mere Madden "ripoff". That's like saying that since Ford was the first company to mass-produce cars, all the other companies that have gotten into the business of manufacturing cars are just Ford "ripoffs".

Actually all the games after madden are "clones" that have moved off its logic.

I think sportsgeist needs a special title and pink color to his name. I understand if your a fan of the 2k series. IM a huge fan of madden but im sure both games will be great this yr . No need to make idiotic posts like the one made today. There not stealing from sega and sega is not stealing from EA.

You would say that because you never played Tennis2K2. EA added the Mini-camp in 2003 (which is a rip-off of Virtua tennis and Tennis2K2) but it had nothing to do with the Franchise mode like it did in Tennis2K2 until now that is.

So Sega Sports, actually in this case Hitmaker created the concept of a mini game? Oh man that is classic...
