Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers
I don't see how any chargers fan can hate on Norv he called a damn good game 400+ yards through the air. What else do you want football is a game of inchs had Darren broke through and scored a TD everyone would have been on hits nuts. It worked last, no one bitched it didn't work this week.
"Had Darren broke through"??? You mean like all the success they had in the running game earlier?
Michael Bennett had a few decent runs early and then he never really saw the field again. If you are going to line up in a jumbo set and try to run right into the strength of your opposition, then at least put a big back in there that averaged better than Sproles' 2.6 YPC.
The Ravens starting safety was out of the game. The Chargers WR's were getting a lot of one on one coverage against the smaller Ravens CB's and Rivers was throwing the ball on point all game.
Spread your receivers out and run Sproles underneath the LB's insteand of a predictable play action and running into the teeth of their defense.Comment

Im so glad we got rid of Norvell. True, none of our other coaches have been any better in recent years but this man has a track record of suckdom.

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
I said last year that the Chargers will win the division IN SPITE of Norv. Probably the same this year. The Charger players are too talented to let that clown bring them down.Comment

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
The Ravens are better coached, better disiplined, have better depth along the offensive and defensive lines as well as at the LB position.
So yes, the Ravens are the better team.Comment

Re: Week 2: Ravens @ Chargers.
Too many props to Ryan. It reminds me of when Buddy got way to much credit for the killer Bear defenses of the 80's. The fact is that Rivers carved up a Raven defense two years ago and Baltimore lost. Also lost is the fact that San Diego was inside the 20 five times and did not come away with a TD. I'll take the win, although I wish our corners were bigger.Comment

It's amazing, when the Chargers win it's in spite of their coach but when they lose it's all on him.Comment

Excellent game. Pass defense is obviously a concern, but a win is a win.Comment
