Grant is being a classy pro, too.

    From his Twitter:

Being an alternate isnt the end of the world guys lol breathe...im thankful..but even more thankful we r in the playoffs

You must give credit to all the guys who made..AP SJ and DW are all beasts

Edit from above- I didn't realize he was an alternate at the time of my earlier post. It's all good.

Yup, even though I KNOW Mangold deserved it. I even think Brick deserved it over Faneca, he's shown so much improvement over the past year.

Would have liked to see Thomas Jones make it with the year he's having (yet again), but it's understandable why they'd put in Rice over him.

It was stupid to move the game from Hawaii and make it a week before the Super Bowl. They should have just kept it how it was before...or get rid of the game all together and make the selections simply an honorary thing like All American selections in college. Football is not very conducive to playing all-star games

Other sports all star games have good players sitting out as well. It happens in all sports. The line has to be drawn somewhere, but it certainly is open to debate.
I understand. If Grant made it, I wouldn't argue for Williams. Someone has to go, someone has to stay home. D-Will was in that position last year & I wouldn't be surprised that fact pushed him through in 2009. Putting up those numbers getting only 60% of the carries w/a line constantly in flux, certainly qualifies him though.

The whole fan voting thing absolutely sucks. Guys who aren't playing worth a flip or who are riding on name noteriety alone are all over this roster. Ugh! Not a SINGLE BENGAL on the roster? WTF? Ed Reed? He hasn't even played much. Bryant McKinnie? Faneca? What about a deserving Clay Matthews?

With that said, my Cowboys have: Jason Witten, Leonard Davis, Andre Gurode, & Miles Austin from Offense, with Demarcus Ware & Jay Ratliff on defense. Honestly, those aren't too bad and I really agree with those picks. I would have loved to see Tony Romo make it because he is actually having one of the best, if not the best, year of his career and has proved alot of people wrong (ie: no TO, cut down on INTs, won games in December)

Romo's season normally would merit the Pro Bowl, but who would you omit? Brees & Favre are MVP candidates & Rodgers numbers are higher in comp percentage, TD's, INT's & yds.

I'm really dissapointed that London Fletcher didn't make the Pro Bowl. I know the skins are 4-11, and have looked like complete crap when they have been on National TV, but if you watch the skins play you know that Fletcher was playing out of his mind this season.

Nice that Orakpo made if as a rookie, I think that next year he could really be a force when the new D-Coordinator moves him to DE permantly.

Tony Gonzalez should've gotten in over Witten. You can make the case that Vernon Davis should be in over Witten, but TG had the better all-around year than Witten.

I honestly would say either is deserving but Witten beats Gonzo in every stat except TDs where we know Dallas uses him as a blocker more than a receiving threat. On top of that, he is the main cog in the offense, take out Witten & there is a huge dropoff in everything the Cowboys can do in terms of protection, passing & running... heck, even the entire offensive scheme would change. Not trying to start a debate but if you have to choose one, you can make a very strong case that the Cowboys are a mere shell of their team without Witten while the Falcons proved last year they can move the ball without Gonzo.

Did you happen to see who Tony G. had throwing to him this year? Ryan is nearly 20th in QB rating and Redman was even in there for a bit.

Gonzalez has more TD's (6:1), more 1st downs, and a much higher 1st Down %, and domintes Witten in every Red Zone category, while the receptions and YPC are both negligible.

All categories that define the TE position.

48 Tackles, 11 Sacks, 2 Passes Defended. Not sure if he is going in as a OLB or DE. I think his nod to the pro bowl is an ode to the fact that he will be DROY this year too. (I think)
