Not only trade up, they gave up a 2nd rounder next year per NFL Network.

No way this is a good move... The Patriots continue to R-pe the draft. They must be using Madden 10 trade logic.

Yeah that dude is real with it. My boss asked me this afternoon who was my favorite 'analyst' and I told him Mike Mayock. He asked me that while he had it on ESPN and Mortenson was on the screen and he looked at me like I was speaking Korean.

Patriots are the best drafters in the NFL.

I really like that pick, but I can't help but think we could have had:

Hughes, Gronkowski, Tate, Spikes

instead of:

McCourty, Gronkowski, Cunningham, Spikes

Not only trade up, they gave up a 2nd rounder next year per NFL Network.

I don't get it. Edwards was fun to watch at App State, but I'm not sure how he fits in the NFL. A 2nd round pick is a high price to pay. I'd have preferred seeing them pick a D Lineman.

Hopefully it works out though and he becomes something special as a slot receiver or wherever they plan to play him.
