If he's not drafted it won't be the end of the world and will probably end up working out better for him since he gets more of a choice of where he goes.

Man, Greg Hardy went from a probable 1st rounder last year to a 6th rounder this year. Damn.

A lot of scouts doubted his commitment to football although he's still a great pick up, especially this late.

I wouldn't be upset if we can get Rolle with one of our picks in the 7th. Him and Delmas could be a good tandem at saftey.

Interesting take by Herm Edwards on Rolle:

One of the most interesting players still available in the 2010 NFL draft is safety Myron Rolle, who left Florida State with a year of eligibility remaining and spent 2009 as a Rhodes Scholar.

I cannot believe the Browns got someone like Geathers in the 6th round.

              Amazing.

Where's LeGarrete Blount going to go? Remember he punched that Boise defensive tackle, and got suspended for all but 2-3 games during the season. But the year before he had 1000+ yards and 17 td's as a backup. He's got ability, and it'll be interesting to see where he falls. Before the punch, he was projected as a late first round to second round pick.

                NFL-Carolina Panthers
                MLB-San Francisco Giants
                NHL-Los Angeles Kings
Won't change this signature until Oregon wins a national championship (started 3/10/10)

This draft was deep. A lot of the people in the later rounds have the talent, but injuries, movation, and in Myron's case, dedication have made them later round picks.

The closer we get, the more I want the Lions to take Rolle. The city could use someone like him.

Bryant is far more talented thats why.

Rolle is a decent player with great character.

It really is sad that people are questioning Rolle's passion. Isn't the goal of college to better one's self? He'd be an idiot to turn down the Rhodes Scholarship. I'm an FSU alumn and was so proud of Rolle when he was awarded the honor, and I know a great majority of FSU fans felt the same way.

I didn't see it at all that he abandoned the team. He took a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and made the most of it. How is that abandoning a team? These football coaches and higher ups need to get a grip. I get that football is their life, but it's not everyone else's sole priority.

To me, that's what makes Rolle stand out is that he's not letting football define him. Yes he loves the game and wants to play in the NFL, but he's also smart enough to realize that he better have something to fall back on in case football doesn't work out. Either way, he's set himself up for a great career, whether it be in football or neurosurgery.

I'd take Rolle in a second. A great character guy that is also a good football player. Sure he'll be a little rusty at first, but he's got a great work ethic and I'm sure he'll pick up the pro game quickly.
