    I agree with you.

The Broncos spent a 6th rounder on one guy and a 6th rounder and a fullback on another. The other guy they spent a second, third, and possibly a fourth round pick on. I think it's pretty obvious they felt they needed an upgrade and Tebow was the guy.

I'm kinda shocked that Chad Jones is still on the board. Wonder who will get him....I will be even more shocked if he isnt drafted by mid 2nd.

I'm pleased with the Colts pick of Jerry Hughes, but I figured they would have went for a CB first...they got beat on too many deep bombs at the end of the season and have problems matching up against big receivers.

Haden in his first press conference was talking about how he likes to joke off the field and stuff. A reporter asked him if that is what he was like on the field. His response:

"Oh man I was talking about off the field. You gotta be confident on the field. Your swag gotta be out of control."

The next thought then is can Tebow be that guy? I know there are a million opinions on that but if McDaniels feels he can be that guy in say 2 years, then I think the Broncos worked with what they had perfectly to get the player they wanted without drastically effecting what else they can do in the draft.

It doesn't seem like there was a center worth reaching for at that point and there should be LBs and DEs of good value later. Lots of corners have gone but I think the need for corner is more for the future, and probably not one worth paying first round money to a guy that'll be in the nickel for the next 2 years.

I don't think it was brilliant but don't see it as nearly as bad as you do, I guess. Even if Tebow flames out, I don't see it really having a huge impact on what they can do for the rest of the draft.
Brandstater last year did everything right and at the end of preseason had people asking "Maybe he will start?". The guy performed well in camp and in his limited action during the preseason (I know, not saying much but still, he didn't bomb). I see him and think he's ready to go if needed but you look at Tebow and its a "2-3 year plan".

Just bugs me, hopefully I'm wrong since he's a Denver Bronco. I can't lie and say I'm not interested to see how he does on the field, I will be glad to be wrong to see guys unable to bring him down in sack.

Demaryius Thomas just did his in-person interview, I dont think it went past 45 seconds. Tebow is expected later today

It sounds like McCoy to the Browns and Clausen to the Bills.

Michael Smith said that, and I'm paraphrasing, his conversations with the Browns leads him to believe that they still will not take a QB high...He nailed the Haden pick so we'll see...

Edit: Jay Glazer also doesn't believe that the Browns will take a QB in the 2nd either.

My brother said that he heard that Marshawn Lynch is going to end up in Tampa Bay so that Buffalo can move up to the 3rd pick of the 2nd round and draft Jimmy Clausen. Anyone else hear that?

Who are they looking to get then? Maybe receiver.

I don't know why they're so hesitant to pick a QB in the 2nd. Holmgren is a West Coast style guy and I don't think McCoy would be a bad pick there.

Apparently the Saints and Redskins are talking about trading Jamaal Brown and Patrick Robinson for Albert Haynesworth.

Carolina needs to quit trading up in the 2nd round. Everette Brown was not worth our 1st-rounder this year.

They'll look at best player available. That's what they did with their first pick and that is likely what they'll do in the first few rounds. They could go Safety, WR, TE, LB or DL.

The simple fact of the matter is this: The Browns aren't going to be very good next year. At best, they'll be 8-8 and that's going to take a minor miracle. They will be in a position next year to take one of Ponder, Luck and Ponder. No need to waste a pick on Clausen and McCoy, especially if you do not think they are a franchise QB.
