    Re: Ginn on trading block

I saw the topic and thought "I'll take him on the 49ers,need a return man. Might get him for a 6th". Then I go over to realgm and see he's been traded to the 49ers for a late round pick. A 5th instead but that's ok.

And the 52 yard TD, where 'lockdown' corner Revis was burnt by the almighty Ted Ginn shouldn't matter because it was Kerry Rhodes fault right? "B-b-b-but..."

Before you call someone out don't ignore all the facts. Now go back in the corner and play with your ball young man.

As for Ginn being traded for a 5th rounder, I would of liked atleast a 4th, but it's alright I guess. Can't work magic with everything. He's now SF's problem.
Hey Mr. Ginn has been traded. i guess the Phins Management didnt see all the dicing he was doing.

I think it's a great pickup for the 49ers. Obviously, Ginn isn't reliable to be a staring WR due to his lack of hands but the guy can be explosive on Special Teams. On top of that, if the offense can get Crabtree playing at a high level alongside V. Davis, Ginn could become a matchup problem; that's a lot of speed and explosiveness on the field.

Ginn won't start over Crabtree and Morgan.

No, unfortunately they only saw it two times last year coincidently against the same team. And for the record, he most definitely is a bust but you can credit a lot of that to the bone-headed pick at number 9 by Cam Cameron.

We all know Ginn sucks but it was still cool watching him burn one of the best CBs in the league.

Well the thing is ginn should have never been a number 1 reciever. He should be in the slot and also he really had no other complementary reviever. Like Moss had gaffeny in 07. You need that number 2 to be decent and ginn didnt have that.

I can still hear Cam Cameron say when everyone booed him in Miami after they picked Ginn,"Wait and see, you'll gonna love this guy" Now we get a 5th rounder for the 9th overall pick.....BUST!!!!!!! He's led the league in drop passes the last 2 years!

I don't know how he even signed the contract with those hands!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Ginn and Desean Jackson pretty much similar players in college? If they were then I don't see how people can say Ginn should have never been a #1 WR because Desean looks like hes a pretty good #1 guy. Ginn just didn't live up to expectations.

Wrong. Desean played the outside in college and ginn played the slot. Thats why they picked ginn because of his sucess in the slot. ANd desean was a 2nd round pick.

It was actually just this past year that he started dropping passes. He was fairly sure handed his first two seasons, though he never made anything happen after the catch.

yeah i gotta agree but his route running isnt all that either basically hes only a deep threat and a KR not even a PR ( i think his longest pr return was what 8 yards and he fumbled it a few times)

i wonder if alex smith can get him the ball on those long deep routes.

its basically a win win for both teams. dolphins get a 5th that we didnt have, ginn gets a new start and maybe he can redeem himself to something decent.

It's pretty sad that Ginn was drafted in the top 10 overall just a couple years ago and now he's traded away for a 5th round pick. lol.
