I hate when school is not in session. The 12 year old homers come out, and post this stupid crap, simply because they don't know any better.Comment

Re: who will win the AFC west!
Chargers should win the division, but I think the veterans they've shed weaken them enough that injuries open the door wide open for anyone. Their holdouts could be painful too.
Chiefs and Chargers will both take steps forward, but QB play will probably dictate how far that can go. I think Oakland is really going to miss Fargas.
Broncos are the big question to me, on paper they've lost a ton in Brandon Marshall (as they did with Cutler the year before), I expect them to finish last, but the division is so weak anything is possible. A QB controversy could pretty easily scuttle their season. They have a pretty amazing knack for starting the season strong/lucky, and finishing the season failing extraordinarily... multiple seasons in a row.
Will be a competitive division, but in the sense that most of the teams are weak, rather than strong, and will struggle to reach/maintain a winning season.Comment

Re: who will win the AFC west!
I seriously Lol'd at some of the posts in here...
Realistically, its SD's division if the line can run block, obviously...
KC is still young and not all there, and the vets they picked up weren't/aren't good enough...still don't like their coaching moves (Crennel/Weis)...but i'm biased against hiring coaches who struggled elsewhere to coach for a team that struggles. They've proven they can't do it (to me anyway)
Denver has Josh McDaniels thats the strongest, most positive thing they've got...even though he does so questionable stuff, he's a bright spot for them...won't finish last, but might compete (again) early for the division
Oakland, Jesus....Campbell is a solid QB, but i believe Oakland's problem is coaching. They have solid players (Bush, Miller, good defense) but when they look bad, mostly its been because of play calls (And motivation) Also now that Walrus is gone, things might clear up a bit, but think they might be last

They might have struggled as Head Coaches but not as Coordinators which is the job they both hold in KC. Weis/Crennel are arguably the Chiefs best off-season acquisitions.Comment

Re: who will win the AFC west!
Denver just needs to avoid going on long hot/cold streaks it seems. I'm not sure where the talent level is going to be, but Orton/Quinn/Tebow will be pretty versatile as will the young WR talent there is.
Not a fan of the Nolan departure though, at all.Comment

Re: who will win the AFC west!
I'm in teh minority with you. It's the Bolts division but they could start off slow again and the McNeil situation could cost a win or two, opening the door for someone else. Either way, the Broncos are the next likely imo, followed by the Raiders (though I expect them to win 8 rather than 9 or 10).
There's a difference between falling apart (2 years ago) and playing out your schedule (last year). Last year everyone said they were going to be the worse team in the league... it's always funny when that's forgotten. They were a slightly above average team last year and pretty much won the games they were supposed to and lost the games they were supposed to. If the schedule was set up differently they would've had the same record but wouldn't have started so fast and people would be looking at them differently.
Pretty much what I think.
The Chargers were 2-3 at that time, and Denver was their final loss of the season in week 6, as they then went on to win 11 in a row.
But hey, they drafted Tim Tebow, and got rid of Brandon Marshall I am sure they'll do great this season.
I am regrettably going into the season with hope of 8-8, at some point you have to take a step forward, and when we fail to do that I am just glad we aren't Oakland.Comment
