Re: Grade Your 2005 NFL Draft Class.

    For the Chargers.

    Shawne Merriman
    Luis Castillo
    Vincent Jackson
    Darren Sproles
    Wesley Britt
    Wes Sims
    Scott Mruczowski

Merriman, Jackson have both been pro bowlers.
Sproles has been a pretty dynamic back and returner
Luis Castillo is about as good of a 3-4 DE as there is. And can play inside on even fronts
Mruczowski has been versatile and started a lot of games.

    Pretty productive draft.

      For the Bengals:
      Rd 1: David Pollack
      Rd 2: Odell Thurman
      Rd 3: Chris Henry
      Rd 4: Eric Ghiachuc
      Rd 5: Adam Kieft
      Rd 6: Tab Perry
      Rd 7: Johnathan Fanene
      Grade: F-
Pollack had injury and had to retire, dont even know if Odell is in league anymore. Henry had a lot of talent, but never put it together completly and died. (RIP)
Only player left on team is Fanene, and he is in there rotation at de

        Dallas Cowboys

        1 - DE/LB Demarcus Ware: A. Pretty obvious.
1 - DE Marcus Spears: C+. Solid starter, nothing more. Probably best as a rotational player.
2 - LB Kevin Burnett: C. Was a nickel linebacker for us, was decent. Now with the Chargers.
4 - RB Marion Barber III: B. Can be a very productive player when healthy. Not sure how long his shelf life will end up being though.
4 - DE Chris Canty: B-. Homer card cuz he was a Wahoo, but he was a reasonably good player and a starter while in Dallas. Took a fat contract with the New York Giants a year ago.
6 - S Justin Beriault: F. No longer in the league.
7 - OT Rob Petitti: F. No longer in the league.
        7 - DE/DT Jay Ratliff: A. Definition of a late-round gem.

Bottom line, we got three current starters out of this draft, two of whom are now among the best at their position in the NFL. This draft can't be lower than an A, I don't think.

Yeah....none of these guys even play for the Texans anymore.

Probably the worst draft in our (short) team history. Don't know if it can get any worse than that.

Agreed. Not many people give Parcells the credit he deserves for drafting and farming up some pretty great players, guys like Witten (3rd), Austin (FA) & Romo (FA) were gems he found as well.

Agreed x 1,000,000. If there was a lower grade than "F", the Texans would get it for 2005.

49ers1/1 - QB Alex Smith INCOMPLETE2/33 - OG David Baas B-3/65 - RB Frank Gore A3/94 - OL Adam Snyder B+5/137 - DT Ronald Fields C+5/174 - WR Rasheed Marshall F6/205 - CB Derrick Johnson F7/215 - CB Daven Holly F7/223 - WR Marcus Maxwell F7/248 - OT Patrick Estes F7/249 - TE Billy Bajema CGore is our franchise RB. Snyder and Baas have been solid starters and at worse, are valuable backups at C, OG and OT. Fields was a decent NT but was allowed to leave with Nolan to Denver. Bajema was a good blocker but thats it. The rest all failed. Smith is incomplete because of injuries, different OC's every year, Nolan mishandling his shoulder injuries, etc. 2010 will determine Smith's grade and whether or not he is our franchise QB. At only 26 years old, im hoping he improves on what he did last season.

One of the great drafts that Jags fans point to when they ask why the Jags never take WRs with the first pick anymore.

Texans draft was awful that year.

Don't even want to speak on it.

                            Eagles

                            DT Mike Patterson - C
                            WR Reggie Brown - F
                            LB Matt McCoy - F
DE Trent Cole - A ( many ppl thought he would only play OLB in the NFL)
                            RB Ryan Moats - D
                            FS Sean Considine - D
                            OL Todd Herrimans - B

I didn't list the other 4 scrubs they drafted, however 3 of the 10 pick are only left on the Eagles team now going into training camp. Pretty sad the Eagles 4th round pick Herrimans and 5th round pick Trent Cole are better players then the Eagles selected in the first round to get patterson and please note they traded up like 10 spots to get patterson and many had him going in the second round.

6 1 Adam Jones Cb- c- good player while playing for us, was on his way to becoming an elite shut down corner. A great return man also.

41 2 Michael Roos Ot- a+ great, great player.

                              68 3 Courtney Roby Wr- d- didn't work out

96 3 Brandon Jones Wr- d was decent but stayed injuried.

108 4 Vincent Fuller Cb- c+ smart player

113 4 David Stewart Ot- a+ great pick

136 4 Roydell Williams Wr- d another wr that was decent but stayed injuried.

142 5 Damien Nash RB- f don't remember him doing anything. Didn't make team

150 5 Daniel Loper OT- Plays for raiders now, never really got a chance to play.

179 6 Bo Scaife Te- c+ Has been the most reliable reciever on offense. He plays with tons of heart.

218 7 Reynaldo Hill Cb- d+ was a starter but eventually got benched and released.

Out of this draft 8 of them were starters at some point with the titans. 10 of them are still in the nfl playing. Titans got two great OT and a decent TE. I'll give the titans a B-.
