Is that for Sunday? I thought that storm would be out of there by tomorrow night.

Yeah...I just looked up the forecast and literally anything could happen in this game. Welcome to Chicago. The only Soldier Field game I've ever been to was the 9ers "wind game" with the Vasher return.

They're saying the system will hit late night tonight and go all day tomorrow. Who knows but it sounds promising.

Most recent update via my Weatherbug...

Very windy. Cloudy. Light snow in the morning...then a chance of snow in the afternoon. Areas of blowing snow through the day. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Total snow accumulation 2 to 3 inches. Much colder. Highs in the mid 20s. Then temperatures falling into the upper teens by evening. West winds around 10 mph early in the morning becoming north and increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph at times late in the morning...then increasing to 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph at times in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation 80 percent.
Now I'm about 20 minutes outside the city, so yes, this looks very promising.

                They didn't beat the Steelers.

And when they beat the Saints thats when Bree's was pick happy and in a rut.

                So Falcons played

                Steelers (L)
                Cardinals (W)
                Saints (W)
                49ers (W)
                Browns (W)
                Eagles (L)
                Bengals (W)
                Bucs (W)
                Ravens (W)
                Rams (W)
                Packers (W)
                Bucs (W)

The only great teams they beat were Ravens & Packers, The Saints win was when the Saints werent playing good and Bree's kept throwing interceptions.

Compare that schedule to the Patriots

                Bengals (W)
                Jets (L)
                Bills (W)
                Dolphins (W)
                - Post Randy Moss -
                Ravens (W)
                Chargers (W)
                Vikings (W)
Browns (L - A planned loss to make them be underdogs again lol)
                Steelers (W)
                Colts (W)
                Lions (W)
                Jets (Obliteration)
                Disrespecting my Falcons...

looking for the destroying a team stat....oh wait its the same W as the close game. Having close games doesn't make you bad.

yes you destroyed the Jets, congratulations.
                Hate when people make excuses...

So the Falcons beat 3 great teams...
and the Pats have beat.... 3 great teams :/

I'm hoping despite the high winds, we'll still be able to get a short passing game going to negate the Bears run D. Lots of WR screens to Welker I can imagine.

Should be a blast to watch. December football!

Re: Week 14: Patriots @ Bears

The Patriots should be fine even with those conditions. That's why they've always been successful in harsh conditions. A. They can run the ball. and B. All they do in the passing game is dink and dunk. Since Moss is gone, I've seen very few deep balls from them. In the Colts game, it literally seemed like every pass Brady threw was a 5-10 yard throw. It's such an annoying offense to defend. I feel like I say that every weekend too, probably because I do. Every single time I watch them I'm literally annoyed with how successful they are just dinking and dunking down the field. No one can stop it and I don't know why other teams don't do it.

If the Bears can run the ball, they'll be fine, not saying they'll win, but in these conditions, it is vital to have some sort of running game.

Re: Week 14: Patriots @ Bears

The Bears have transitioned to a short passing team in the past few weeks, give the coaches credit. But they are saying now the SUSTAINED winds will be 30 MPH tomorrow gusting to 55. There aint many passes that are gonna look good in that wind, especially with the heavy wet snow at the same time. Man this is gonna be fun. I just hope we can see the field.

I will definitely watch this game now that I know there's going to be a blizzard.

                          Bad weather games FTW!

Oh and hm, I think Pats win this by no more than a TD.

I get the feeling this will be a field position/turnover type game. I dont expect either team to be above 24 points.
