Woke me up in cold sweats, it was so horrible! Go Ravens!

This will be a close game I think, but the 49er's will pull it out

Yeah, I have no idea. On paper it's a matchup the Raven defense usually likes-a not so great QB.

I don't know about that... for a couple of reasons. First, as a team the Ravens have lost to Gabbert and TJax this year alone. I'd put Hasselbeck a full notch above those two but then we also have to include that he threw for almost 400 yards on the Ravens. They also almost lost a game to the Cards led by Kolb. The blame doesn't fall all on the D in these situations but we're making predictions for this game so we have to evaluate the team as a whole and they've blown that theory out the window (getting mad even saying that).

More importantly, I think you're selling Smith short. They've used him perfectly and that's why they're 9-1... and he's played well in that role. Now if the Ravens can stop Gore (he's a beast, Ray won't be 100% and they've had trouble against the likes of MJD and Lynch) and keep the 9ers great D at bay, a small lead can put them in that familiar situation to pick on Smith, but the QB battle is pretty much a push with the edge going to the team that uses their passer better... and the OC edge goes to SF.

Ravens win 10-6 in a slobberknocker.

Smith is 7th in passer rating. He's no longer not so great,he's at least above average, maybe even good.

Smith IS good, not everyone has to put up fantasy football #'s to be a considered a good NFL player.

Close game but I think Niners finally prove to folks they are for real.

                    Niners - 21

I think the Niners are for real this year. They've beaten some good teams and unlike some teams that have stepped up and surprised people the Niners actually have a pretty damn good defense and run game. It'll be fun to see the two Harbaughs coaching against each other.

Even if San Fran were to lose I think it'll be real close and it won't sway me too much on my opinion that they're the 2nd best team in the NFC.

Ray Lewis AND his back up Dannell Ellerbe are inactive tonight.

                        Ouch.

Tough blow. Good for San Francisco though.

Even if 49ers lose, it shouldn't put doubt in people's head that they are not good.

After watching the earlier games with no sound, i can now turn it up with the best tandem in the business calling the game.

OK that's it. David Reed needs to get cut.
