I hope some team signs him so I don't have to hear him talk.

But at the end of the day, I'm willing to bet that he has a far better understanding of the sport than you do.

Irvin and Sanders make NFL Network disgustingly unwatchable.

Bring McNabb and Corey Chavous and have them take both spots.

Replace Shannon Sharpe on CBS's pregame show....

Half the time I can't understand a word he's saying.

That's what sucks. Shannon is almost always on point, but he's often undecipherable.

Nah, Sharpe and James Brown are the only good parts of CBS' lame studio show.

But I guess I have the opposite tastes to everyone in this thread.

you know Matrix... after watching below avg.. analyst that all look/sound alike for 30yrs... it's refreshing (for the last 7yrs) to have diversity and peeps that have played the game talk about what they know and see...

                    D. Sanders/Irvin may not be exactly what you're used too.. but there are a lot of other folks out there that love these dudes... and you may not be their target audience..

but, I will say that Corey Chavous is outstanding in his Football acumen... and McNabb is good too...

I'd rather have people who speak normally and aren't outlandish and obnoxious like Irvin and Sanders.

But it doesn't really matter. Even NFLN isn't in it for quality analysis anymore. If you want quality analysis anymore, you have to depend on yourself.

That's pretty much fine, considering I know what I see. But it's impossible to watch every single game of every team.

I know Deion can go overboard sometimes but I think he does a decent job of analyzing. Irvin on the other hand I just can't stand. Deion is at least funny (to me).

But yeah, they really need to bring Chavous back in and hire McNabb. I really hope he doesn't go to ESPN.

not to beat a dead horse Matrix.. but you have heard "mic'd up".. this is how the players talk.. it's not unusual... the game is such that that is what football is all about "**** talking"...
is only natural to have the players bring this energy from the field to the show... CBS/FOX... (NBC not so much)...

Matrix I like the serious stuff to.. I really don't think Irvin know ****.. but on the reverse side some of the Guys that have never played the game don't really add anything either (other than their opinion).. IMO

I just think it's horrible presentation. Annoying to the listener/viewer.

I used to really, really enjoy watching NFL Gameday Final with Rich Eisen, Mariucci, and Deion. All 3 of those guys played off each other so well, imo. It was easily my favorite end-of-the-night NFL wrap-up show.

Then they took out Eisen and replaced him with Fran Charles' stale ***. And added Irvin's manic insanity. Now I watch *shudders* Berman, instead.
