Agreed, but I'm not sold on any of the QBs that don't have long glamorous blonde hair.

I don't think the need to move on from Jimmy G is so great as to warrant such a measure

The question is is it Wilson, Fields, or Lance.

SF is a franchise QB away. I think that was perfectly illustrated in their SB loss. Good enough to get there, but it would take a lot for them to win it with G. The roster can win it all next year.

Whoever steps in will have to step up immediately, but they’ve got the perfect situation. Not often can a top 3 pick QB get dropped on a Super Bowl contending roster.

I wonder what it would’ve taken to get Matt Ryan. If the window is small, that may have been the better move, but this trade opens up so much potential because of whoever they draft. May be able to keep their window open longer with a cheaper QB, at least for 3-4 years.

I'll see it as a Mahomes-Chiefs situation. Where they feel they need a long term upgrade, but the team is playoff ready, so they'll have Jimmy G start this year and try to flip him next year. Both Fields and Lance probably need a year to sit and learn

            And now...

Eagles have traded picks No. 6 and No. 156 overall to the Dolphins in exchange for No. 12 overall, No. 123 overall, and a 2022 first-round pick.

Yeah and if G gets hurt or isn’t effective enough (50/50 prop on both imo), they can see if the rookie sparks the team.

You’re right that I believe G doesn’t have much money left on his contract so he would be a pretty good 1 year bridge for a team.

Lynch and Shanahan know how to work this thing.

That’s crazy to give up that much to move up to #6 this early. It’s not a bad trade, I’d just want to see how the first five picks shake out before signing off on it

Heres how I feel about the last 2 trades

                  - WAY too much value lost for the Niners. This is the team that prides itself on having extra picks around all the time, and they blew their load for this. Better not be another Darnold situation because we see what the Colts have made themselves into after that trade, and now they finally have a QB to go with those pieces

                  - Miami then goes and blows too much value for #6 overall. Eagles arent 1 player away from returning to the playoffs by any means, even in the terrible NFC East. They need plenty of skill position players and this negates some of the value lost in the Slay trade last year

Welp, guess I'm buying M22 now so I can roll with my new franchise QB. Is it Wilson, Fields or Lance?

Curious to see what happens with Jimmy G. Doesn't make sense to me to roll with a lame duck QB for a year when NE is ready to take him back right now.

I like the move for Eagles. Either they wanted to move up for Wilson and realized they couldn't or just loading up for next year. Either way, we have TONs of needs all over. While would have liked Either Chase or Pitts, I felt both would've been high for that spot. This way swap up to the 4th round and potentially have 3 1st round picks. I can see them moving using all 3 to move up as high as possible to draft best QB next year.

I think Waddle, Smith, Surtain, or Horn would be good value at 12. I rather focus on defense. I rather get one of those corners and trade back into mid 20s. We have 11 picks, so I would trade pick 37 and the latter 3rd round pick to move up into mid 20s and pick up a LB or Edge rusher. Would love to come out of the 1st round with 2 defensive starters. Front 4 is getting up their in age, only 1 quality LB, need a Outside CB, and need at Safety

                            Nice move for the Dolphins.

So basically they went from 3 to 6 and got a 1st in 2023 and 3rd in 2022 out of it to basically get the same guy they probably would've taken at 3 anyways.

I agree. If they weren't going to take a QB or Sewell, then drafting Chase or Pitts would've been too high for those guys at 3. I can see Atl trading down and Bengals taking Sewell, so they'll have their choice at the best non-QB prospect. Turned Tunsil into 4 first rounds and a 3rd. This is a prove it for Tua. With a lot of draft capital in the next few years, they have the ammo to move up.

I think there is a strong chance that there's 5 QBs selected top 10, which benefits other teams
