    RE: Rick Dennison

(In response to a Denver beat reporting suggesting they should have worked with him and allowed him to stay on in some capacity through an advisory role and zoom sessions)

He's not out yet. Team issued statement. Talks are ongoing. I think they leaked that he's out in order to show him that they're serious.

    Edit:

Here's the actual statement. It really doesn't state much:

“The Vikings continue to hold discussions with Offensive Line Coach Rick Dennison regarding the NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 Protocols for training camp and preseason games,” the team said in a statement. “At this time, Coach Dennison does not have an exemption to the vaccination requirements of those protocols. We will adhere to the requirements of the protocols and of applicable law.”

Everyone is free to get or not get the vaccine. There is no right to work at the NFL.

Rick Dennison was the first man to coach Nathan Peterman in the NFL. You know how Gase kept getting jobs because he coached Manning that one time? This should be like that, only the exact opposite.

As long as we are 100% consistent with that, and we don't say it's unfair in other contexts.

I've read this multiple times and still don't understand what this means or what you're going for.

In the way that Gase seemingly got jobs because he coached Peyton Manning and people attributed some success to Gase, he thinks Dennison should not be allowed to coach because the disaster that was Nathan Peterman should be attributed to Dennison.

                  I think that's it, anyway

I'm not one of those anti vaxx kind of people. It's just the forceful side of it. A lot of tin foil hats out there. I would think the force would come next season. Not this early. I understand there is no difference between now or then.

I have no clue how they would change some of these people's minds. I like what the NBA is doing.

But I get it. Vaccinate now.

The antivax people are threatening the NFL's money, so it's only expected that they are going to pass that on down.

Gonna do this, just to come back next year and go to another team? Yeah I’m calling his bluff.
