Dissapointed because Dallas chose to invest it's first rd pick on an O-lienman for the third time in fours years instead of taking an undersized qb who is built like a kicker?

There really is one born every minute, isn't there?

All this oline help in Dallas and Romo STILL gets injured every year.

He just really dislikes Romo and Jerry Jones so I don't think he would have been happy either way.

            Don't the Cowboys need defense?

Maybe they're committed to running the football now?

In the worst way imaginable, but as Kingkilla pointed out it ain't like last year's unit was bringing back memories of the great Boy's OL's of the 90's. Investing high picks in the OL is always a good idea, especially when you have an aging QB with a huge contract and a bad back.

Yes Cowboys fans who wanted an exciting, potential change of pace at quarterback sure are idiots/suckers aren't they?

I can't see why they wouldn't be content with what they have at that position.

Not saying Manziel was the right call, but to call a cowboys fan wanting a guy like Manziel in the draft an idiot/sucker? Come on.

Cowboys are setting up a nice offensive line core that will be there beyond Romo and his old man back. Jerry making smart picks is weird.

However, they need an exorcist to fix that defense.

Lol Manziel has the body of a kicker? So did Doug Flutie. And based solely on combine pictures, Tom Brady had the body of a tall kicker.

The Browns got Doug Flutie 2.0, and now it's on to the promised land.

Just proves that fans are fans and not football people. Romo isn't the biggest problem in Dallas. You take Manziel with the 16th pick you have missed out on having a guy who can start for you day 1, to take a back-up QB who will need time to develop into a passer when you have a QB? Makes little sense to me.

As a Skins fan I would've loved it if they took Johnny. I'm still kinda glad the took an Oline men, because that defense needs a lot of help and I hope they take a WR or RB in the 2nd round.

Dallas wasn't a team that had/has the luxury to take BPA they have holes on defense and neglected them in the first round IMO. As a rival fan I hope they do it again and again.

Completely agreed. It was the smart choice. That wasn't my argument at all.

Just not going to judge cowboy fans for wanting Manziel. I understand why they would.

As I see it, Manziel career will go one of two ways. If he plays as he did at TAMU he'll be an exciting player who is constantly battling injuries because his frame is simply too small to survive doing that in the NFL.

If, otoh, he dials it back and makes himself more of a conventional pocket qb, he will have to sacrifice the thing that made him special in the first place.

I just don't see him a success in the pros in the long term, but maybe I'm wrong. We'll see.

He can dial it back without sacrificing anything.

He can learn a thing or two from Russell Wilson.

I think he'll be fine myself, looking forward to watching some Browns football this season.

Beat teams he wasn't supposed to in college, won the Heisman, everyone said he was too small to play quarterback in the NFL, etc.. So far the two biggest differences are Johnny Football is enjoying his youth, and he didn't go the USFL out of college.
