I can't figure out how Mike Shanahan continues to ride Elway and Terrell Davis's coattails to employment.

He's a safe, familiar name. That's the only thing I can think of.

He's had success beyond them. The problem is people tend to evaluate coaches and players based on SBs. That's a legit nugget when talking about their place in history, but you've gotta dig deeper when trying to predict their value during an ongoing career.

Shanny has made a number of average RBs look great and I believe WAS had a top 5 running attack in 2012. His zone blocking scheme has been adopted with success around the league. He made Plummer look like a competent QB and got Cutler a whole lot of money.

His issues in Denver were really with playing GM more than playing coach.

I'm not going to link to it because, well it's sad. The Titans official twitter account is "live tweeting" the Music City Miracle game. Talk about a pathetic stunt....

Kyle Shanahan indeed does leave Cleveland. Yet another new OC, with yet another new offensive system, and yet another 3 year rebuilding plan. (Sounds like EA)

Great. Well, that one week atop the AFC North sure felt good. I'll be reminiscing about that moment in the year 2020 as "how things once were in Cleveland". (Just like I do now about the Kosar years in the 80's, and my grandfather did about the Jim Brown era)

The worse thing about this (imo) is I believe Kyle has proven that he can build an offense that can work with Johnny Football. Who knows if the kid will develop or not regardless of the OC, but since he's not a traditional QB, it's possible his development is stunted trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

I have a feeling, after only two abysmal half-starts, JF will be dealt away.

Today is the 15th anniversary of that game. What's so "pathetic" about celebrating a last second victory that helped propel your franchise to a Super Bowl berth? Plus, it was actually a close, entertaining game from start to finish. I don't see the problem here.

I feel like Bills fans celebrating a win over the Patriots' bench players in Week 17 was a little more sad to be honest.

Celebrating is one thing, but live tweeting it?

I'm not sure I know what that even means. I don't use Twitter.

Serious question, since I'm not on Twitter.

Former Dolphins FB Rob Konrad fell out of a boat fishing by himself and swam to shore.

                                He swam 9 miles.
