Seahawks have been making odd 1st round picks for two years in a row. (Last year was OT James Carpenter)

A guy with a 2nd round grade who's (and I quote Mel Kiper Jr. here) "a one trick pony"...he's only really played in pass rush situations and is pretty irrelevant against the run.

WVU and Marshall both have had tons of knuckleheads come through. The local news networks love covering their missteps.

Although they have been on IR a lot, what [is Carolina] going to do with all that LB talent?

Are they losing one? Switching to 34?

They've lost Dan Connors who was turning into an above-average LB and with the injuries to Davis the past 3 years and Beason the past couple, I understand the pick. That said, this is certainly best value on the board and I love it...defense was putrid last year (bottom 7 in both rush and pass defense, 3rd worst in total defense) so we still need inside D-line help and/or a couple of good defensive backs.

I just hope for no trades for a change. I don't like trying to fill needs and reaching for players (Everette Brown and trading away a 1st to waste of a 2nd rounder mind).

Let's see who Carson Palmer was able to get us. We need help in the secondary, help on the o-line, or another young playmaker to team with Dalton and Green.
