Couldn't be happier with the Lions choice tonight. Our biggest area of need IMO and we addressed it. Thank you to all the teams in front of us who began to scramble for pass rushers.

Yeah, so, watching some of Weeden on that Gruden thing and I'm getting won over a little.

              It's just...he's ****ing 29 years old.

Still, if he can play, this was a franchise changing draft so far. Operation Hill is now in motion.

I was somewhat hoping he would have been picked up by Denver considering Manning (still sounds so weird) has maybe 3 years left and Weeden being older could act as a stopgap of sorts.

Glad I didn't watch the draft only to watch the Broncos not make a pick.

Instead the NFL will have a few million eyes glued to televisions watching its programming for two nights in a row in prime time, and its fans will be able to digest the draft much more easily. For the latter reason, I prefer this format.

We essentially got an entire draft's worth of trades just today, too, lol. Plenty of things to talk about.

Watched the whole draft a few floors up and haven't read any posts so with that said, I was wondering about the Bruce Irvin pick. Seemed like a huge stretch with pretty much everyone still on the board or am I missing something?

                          A.J. Jenkins?

I was hoping for another AJ - Alshon Jeffery.

But then, I hated the Aldon Smith pick last year. So I don't really have any room to critique Harbaugh and Baalke.

I think you'll really like AJ, he was a less heralded recruit than Arrelious Benn at Illinois but ended up being a better player for us.

AJ worked hard and got significantly better every year, I see no reason to believe that won't continue at the NFL level, I don't think he will ever be a #1 WR but he can be a damn good #2 or #3 depending on how they utilize him, I think he is a tremendous fit with Vernon Davis being in place and if Crabtree can be the #1 they drafted him to be I think AJ fits in perfectly.

Digest what? It's not Thanksgiving dinner or something.

All day Saturday makes it an event. Now it's just another thing. Whatever works for ratings, I guess.
