Really? I like Toon and I don't think it was a wasted pick, however I felt the more pressing need was at CB. Really surprised we went WR there. Apparently he's a favorite of Payton's.

Chris Polk falling because of medical concerns. Makes me damn sad. I think whoever takes the chance on him will be getting a huge steal.

Hopefully he's still there for the Bengals.

            2nd Round: (CB) Casey Heyward
            3rd Round: (CB) Dwight Bentley
Mayhew has always drafted best player available, much to the chagrin of many of the Lions faithful (including myself).

I'm still pissed that we took a WR over Konz and Adams. Reiff over DeCastro isn't a big deal for me, as we need pass protectors more than run blockers in this league.

In the 4th round they traded down and picked up a 6th. They took Ronnell Lewis (OLB) from Oklahoma with the 4th round pick they ended up with. I like the Lewis pick. But then the trade their 4th next year to the Vikings for the third pick in the 5th round, and take Tahir Whitehead, another OLB. Other than the general fact that dealing away picks from next year is generally a bad practice, you passed on two good CBs in Josh Norman and Alphonso Dennard. At least we still have our 5th though.

Edit: And there goes Josh Norman to the Panthers. Good pick.

              Could have gone either way.

At CB you have Greer,Robinson, Patrick a solid 3 guys if Patrick lives up to some potential he has.

WR is Colston, Lance Moore, and Devery who is getting older/slower. Think was a bigger need right now imo and could become #2 down the road.

              Toon had a 2nd/3rd round grade, in the 4th it's a steal.

We get Joe Morgan back who looked promising and Arrington was supposed to fill in Meachems role. I like the pick butI was really hoping for Boykin or Dennard. I think the only reason Dennards falling is because of his recent arrest, maybe we can grab him in the 5th.

Joe Morgan showed something in Preseason and Arrington has occasionally, but you can't keep waiting for these unknown guys to show up on a consistent basis. I really love the pick and he'll be better then those 2 guys imo from what I've seen from him in that Wisconsin offense.

Lions trade up with the Raiders (give up our 7th). Take Chris Greenwood, CB. Don't know anything about him.

I still want Alphonzo Denard or David Molk.

We also swapped 7ths with the Vikings in the other deal, so we move down a few spots there.

Leave Dennard alone, I'm hoping he falls to us.

                      In response to ChrisK-

I agree with Arrington I think he is what he is at this point. Joe Morgan on the other hand exploded onto the scene, I see him though as a replacement for Henderson or Moore perhaps. Either way I really like Toon not a bad pick at all, just worried about our secondary and our defense in general more than offense.

I probably should, but I'm not too worried about our defense right now. LB corp is all of a sudden a possible strength, D-line is kinda solid on paper atleast. Not a bad secondary and I guess i'm just banking on the fact that hopefully with not blitzing 60% of the time they can make more plays by hopefully not lining up 20 yds off of guys.

Do need some more depth somewhere
