Colts.

Started watching football in 03 and was instantly drawn to the Colts because of Peyton. It wasn't just because he was a great QB, I just liked the way that he carried himself on and off the field..I idolized him. I remember watching him lose to the Patriots those few years..I HATED Tom Brady. After watching the 20-3 beat down the Pats gave the Colts in the 04 playoffs I just remember sitting there crying (don't judge me...I was young).

Still a Colts fan even though Peyton his gone. It would be nice to see him get another ring..just as long as the Colts aren't in the way (yeah I know, I don't have to worry about that for a while). I'm so pumped for this season to get started! Can't wait to see what kind of QB Luck turns out to be. Go COLTS!

4 Time Super Bowl Champs and 13 Time World Champs.

Green Bay Packers and been a fan of them since Edgar Bennett was drafted by him(Met him when I was 6 since my Aunt went to FSU as well and got his autograph).

20 years strong and I've been fortunate to see most of those years be good with very few bad ones.

basically, the teams with some of the longest histories in football

and thn everyone else after that because I'm a football and sports fan anyway

I spent the majority of my younger years in Michigan, and even though they struggled I still loved them. Now I absolutely love Suh/Megatron/Stafford and I honestly like their 'dirty' style. Don't get me wrong, some of the penalties they committed (i'm looking at you, Suh) were inexcusable, but I still like their bad@ss attitude.

My entire family are Packers fans, so I grew up paying attention to them too. Not quite the attachment that I have to the Lions, but I still enjoy watching them.

Also, it's awesome to see the diversity in this poll. All 32 teams are represented and no one team has the lead over a landslide. Every single team has at least a couple people representing them in this thread.

San Francisco 49ers, of course.

Got into football as a child in the early 90s, right around 7 or 8 years old not exactly sure. They were one of the first teams I ever watched.

It also helps that I'm from California (born and raised) and that they're on TV all the time over here.

Can't imagine rooting for anyone else.

Pittsburgh Steelers. My mother's entire side of the family are Steelers fans are from Pittsburgh. Was born and raised in North Carolina myself, so I root for the Panthers also, but my heart lies with the Steelers.

Most importantly though, I'm a FOOTBALL fan. Love all the teams and the players and what they do to entertain people.

The Green Bay Packers. My family is from Wisconsin and I just grew up around a bunch of Packer fans, I remember watching the first Lambeau Leap.

Ravens. I fell in love with them when I was younger for all the wrong reasons. I like the color purple and thought their jerseys and logo were awesome, I liked bad boy Ray Lewis and the cocky Ed Reed, I used them on Madden.

But as I grew older and therefore actually learned to understand football lol I liked them for real and not just because I always got sacks with them on Madden

Man...this was tough for me because I like a few teams...I could have gone:

-Raiders: loved the colors and Bo Jackson, Tim Brown, and once I learned how nasty/borderline evil they were on defense back in the day, yeah, I liked them. Ethan Horton and Willie Gault (especially Gault, though I learned he wasn't as good as I thought he was, statistically), even Jay Schroeder, though he drove me up a wall at times, and the last bit of talent Jerry Rice had (and still threatened/passed 1000yds receiving - insane).

-Ravens: Didn't know much when they arrived as I wasn't versed on the Browns, so when they arrived, I started following them more closely. Thought they were an intriguing team and stuck with them. Then when guys like McAlister, Reed, Ray, Boulware, Suggs, Jamal Lewis arrived - I was hooked. Power offense with shutdown defense.

-Bucs: I picked this team along with the Raiders on the name and logo. Little did I know they were awful LOL. Kept watching them and hoping something could help. Once they started putting a defense together and they got their new look and stadium, they started having much more success and that pulled me into them more. The Dunn/Alstott combo was great also.

Doesn't even include Jacksonville ("acquired" by my personal "pick one expansion team" rule), the bit of time I spent as a Redskins fan (which then exposed me to stars like LT and Tony Dorsett), the few years as a Saints fan (first time I really got "linebacker happy" with Swilling and company).

In the end, I picked the Ravens as I would probably place them #1 just over a battle for second place between the Bucs and Raiders.
