Well, I've had a few teams over the years.
First, it was the Broncos who had my favorite QB (Elway) 2nd favorite runningback (Terell Davis) and 2 receivers I really liked (Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey). Well, that started to taper off once Elway retired and TD later retired because of injuries. I was still a fan of the team during the Brain Griese and Jake Plummer eras, but it wasn't my favorite team anymore which was now....
The Minnesota Vikings. The combination of my favorite wide reciever ever (Randy Moss) and my 3rd favorite runningback (Robert Smith. He was actually an elite back for 4-5 years. Averaged 5 YPC from 1996-2000) made me a fan of the team. I found Randy Moss mooning the Packers absolutely hilarious. But, my fandom of that team started to wane once Smith retired and Randy went to Oakland and then my favorite team became....
The Broncos yet again. Having just drafted Jay Cutler and with my faborite cornerback (Champ Bailey) on thier defense that just cemented it. We weren't anything special at the time because Cutler was always so inconsistent, but you could see the flashes of greatness there. And then they traded him. And that was the end of my fandom of the Broncos. Not even bringing back Elway could salvage my hurt feeelings

Thus, I drifted without a team for a couple of years, mainly just rooting for players I liked whenever a team played on Sunday, and then, 2 years ago, my Dad took me to a Raiders game when I visited in my California. I saw Darren McFadden play in person for the first time. And, now I'm a goner. Oakland fan for life. And we were doing so well till Cambell got injured this past season
