Getting rid of the Head Coach will almost undoubtedly mean the Assisstant coaches are gone too.

If the organisation is cleared out, does that put Weeden in an awkward situation? He was drafted by Shurmur and Holmgren.

It depends on if Heckert, the GM, is gone too.

I doubt Shurmur would get the door before the season.

Holmgren is gone though. More than likely to be replaced by Joe Banner.

He'll get an opportunity but they've got the got the 'not our guy' excuse to move on next season.

More turnover for Cleveland? It's only been a season for Shurmur...
            NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
            NFL - Buffalo Bills
            MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Unless they have short term success, these kinds of moves almost always follow people putting their own guys in place to run everything. Expensive business to play 'let it ride' with people you may not be confident in to do the job, or think there are others available to you to do it better.

Sale is final, Haslam is the owner.

                  yeap
No one knows what a sale to Jimmy Haslam III might mean for the current Browns hierarchy, but it looks like we'll find out soon enough.

The new owner is also a small minority owner of the Squeelers. Conflict of interest? I hope not...

Btw, Haslam is president and CEO of Flying J truckstops. Started by his father. Team sold for 1 billion dollars. Pending league approval..

So far he's saying all the right things about understanding the tradition of the Browns and really seems to wanna turn the franchise around. We'll see..

Hey, it's still better than Phoenix....where they have trouble selling out the first Cardinals playoff game in 30 years.

Would they really try to move the team? I know Cleveland is no huge booming metropolis but the fan support is great from what I hear.

                            0% chance.

There is no way the NFL would allow a second team move from an important football market like Cleveland.

Hell, it's not even fair to call it Cleveland anymore. The Browns market is basically northern ohio. It would not be a very smart to move a football team so close to the Football HOF either.

And the new owner just said there is no chance that the Browns move.

Also, to the guy who said he's a minority owner of the Steelers, he has to sell his share before he assumes control of the team.

They can't move anyways because if their stadium lease I believe.

Just in case you care, tomorrow, Haslam will be approved by the owners and officially take over the franchise.

Joe Banner will probably be introduced shortly after *probably not tomorrow but at some point soon*
