Just games I believe. The screen goes black right after. Which was a pain when I used to manage a sports bar lol. Seventy percent of the TVs would go out around the same time.

They only show the FOX and CBS pregame shows

If I get NFL Sunday Ticket, is there a way to watch the games on my laptop as well? I know there's an app for the iPhone and tablets and stuff, but can you just log-in on your laptop as well?

Good question. I don't think so before, but I think Directv does have that option for shows now so it may be possible.

Laptop and app on phones, you need the extra $100 part of it. Can't remember if you can watch on phone and laptop at the same time though.

After that, he said it was fine on 2Mbps download speed. Wasn't getting HD quality, but it worked fine. Didn't have any problems with buffering or blurry picture. Others that he talked to had higher download capabilities and were getting HD quality picture. Now keep in mind that he was watching his Niners on ****ty feeds for years, so this was an improvement. You might not always get HD picture depending on your Internet speed. Not sure how important that is to you.

I trust his opinion, so I'll be ordering. I get 15-20 Mbps on my wireless connection and hope that I don't run into any problems.

What kind of connection type and speed did you have?

I wouldnt recommend streaming this type of content over wireless.

I'm probably willing to pay $150-200 for PS3. Otherwise i'll stick with terrible streams, hoping for it to be on Fox/CBS, going to a sports bar, etc.

Re: 2012 NFL Sunday Ticket Discussion Thread

I don't know about the PS3 but last year I had Sunday Ticket To go as part of a new subscriber promotion. I was away on business one weekend but I had my phone with me in the airport and tried to watch the Giants game, but of course it was blacked out because my subscriber address is in New Jersey. So it really doesn't help.

I don't understand this, if the game is sold out and is thus broadcast in your city, why does Sunday Ticket have to black it out ANYWAY? The reason I'm asking is I don't get the app extras when I'm on my local channel.

To force you to watch it on your tv and therefore your local station gets the ad dollars

Yes you can, I've done it before. I've actually watched games on multiple computers on my network as well at the same time.

i have nfl sunday ticket again thank god . i went without in 2008 but the chiefs were horrible anyway and last yearwhen they were bad but nearly as bad as 2008. that 2008 chiefs team was one of the worst nfl teams ive ever seen. herm gets bashed alot but he along with chan gailey got alot out of very little and made alot of games competitive they quite frankly had no buisness being in and with tyler thigpen none the less. sorry i rambled but yeah i dont like redzone much its like football with people who have adhd.

If any of you have DirecTv (as I do) you can always negotiate with them...ALWAYS. Make sure you are a customer in good standing, always paying your bill on time (which I have auto bill pay online).

When you call the 800 number, say "cancel" - when prompted say "cancel" again. Don't panic - this is taking you to the proper people who can really help you out. Ask if they have any way of helping you, but again, be polite.

I have NEVER paid full price for any sports package. I've already purchased it this year and got it down to $149 over 4 payments. I've been with them for 5 years and they appreciate loyalty. Remember, it's a consumer-driven world. If you say you don't the programming, they're going to lose money from you. They want your coin, so just work with them. Worst case scenario is they say no, or you get something off...

I'm a Steelers fan (from NE Ohio) who moved to Florida several years ago. I would die without this (well, not literally). But I LOVE football, and watch all day long.

Quick question, do they keep record of how many times you threaten to cancel? I've done the same thing with NBA League Pass, but I have no idea if the operator knows that I'm only threatening.

Yea, they do. I work in customer service in a different field but it is standard to notate your account for each phone call.
