Aaron Rodgers last year when he threw 18 more TDs and less than half the INTs that Ryan has now.

Can we make the questions harder next time?

Rodgers, Brady, and Manning are all having better seasons currently. Not to mention the '07 Brady, whatever year Manning threw all those TDs, Brees/Rodgers of last season, etc. and probably some others i'm neglecting

He's probably just drunk and overly happy about his team's victory.

Still annoying to read it, though.

                      Now I shall contribute.

IMO, the MVP should go to Adrian Peterson. Unreal season he's having while coming off a torn ACL!

Not sure if this fact was already thrown out in this thread yet (it probably was), but I was reading the newest Bill Simmons mailbag and seen this, which I think makes me flip my decision of Manning for MVP to Mr. Peterson:

Q: I think AP's MVP trophy should be a lock. It's not just the comeback from injury, or shouldering the load for an entire team with a terrible QB. The biggest reason to vote for AP? Separation from his peers. He has outrushed his closest competitor by 30 percent more yards. That's crazy! By comparison, Brees would need to have 1,200 more passing yards than he currently has to be 30% ahead of second place Brady.

And yes, that's even if the Vikings miss the playoffs. I don't like that it's considered a must to make the playoffs in order to be MVP. Why should the player be punished if he's clearly the most valuable player in the league and to his team yet what's surrounding him every week isn't anywhere near as good?

I agree that AP is MVP on his Vikings team, but that doesn't make him the MVP of the league. What he is doing is incredible and he definitely desearves OPY, IMO. OPY is an individual award based on statistics where MVP is one where you place a guy on any marginal team and that team immediately becomes a Super Bowl contender.

So Calvin Johnson broke Rice's receiving record last night and has a decent chance at breaking 2k yards next week. How do we split the awards? In my opinion it should be AP for MVP and Calvin for OPOY. It's crazy we might not see a QB win EITHER award, but I think it's the best choice. No QB is really having a record setting year. Although several are having great seasons, but they're seasons we see from them all the time. Whether that's fair or not I don't know. Kind of a victim of their own success sort of thing.
