    Check the OP
Following on what Kehlis posted, hitting the most recent post button lets you go to the newest post you haven't read... that gets lost if we have to go back to the OP to see the new question. Should be okay to go back to the OP to see the tally but putting the next guy in a new post is probably easier to follow.

Don't really have an opinion on punters. I don't think one will ever get in... won't feel bad if one does.

OK, will post new guys in their own post, and then put them in the OP.

If a punter is ever going to make it into the Hall of Fame, then Lechler should be the one. He's the best I have ever seen and it is the position I played. I'll go ahead and give him a YES vote.

While I would like to say yes for Lechler there is one problem, no punter should be in the HOF until Ray Guy gets in.

So um er I guess that puts me in a "yes but it's highly unlikely"

I think e should make it but I'm not sure he will. Put me down for YES.

I think that if a punter gets in, it should be Lechler. So since I hate special teams being underappreciated, I'll vote yes.

While I think he probably should, I don't know that he will get in.

I'm a Raider fan, so biased here of course. I'll go with no, but only bc Ray Guy isn't in and should be. Seabass should be in though.

So you're gonna leave us with a punter and nothing for the weekend? Dirty pool.

Without any doubt, if any punter should make it into the Hall-of-Fame, it should be Shane Lechler.

What Ray Guy did was great for his time, it was.

In his best season, he averaged 45.3 yards per punt. Lechler has done that 12 times in his career.

You can give Lechler any kind of field position you want and he's going to make sure that he puts your defense in the best possible outcome.

In the annals of pro football, Lechler is twice the punter that Janikowski is the placekicker.

Twice is a bit strong. They're both great, of course. Jano struggled when he first came in but I wouldn't take any kicker over him the past 10 years.

Shane lechler: YES. Along with ray guy however. He has been a top 3 punter if not top for the nfl forever. The raiders, ESP in years like 2006 enabled him to showcase his ability.
