Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
I feel like there are a few ways the Niners can go -
* Defensive Line depth - Justin Smith isn't getting any younger. Issac Sopoaga and Ricky Jean-Francois are Free Agents.
* Free Safety - Depends on what they decide to do with Dashon Goldson or if they feel Spillman or someone else can become a starter.
* Wide Receiver depth - I doubt they would draft a wide receiver with the first pick in back to back years, but A.J. Jenkins looks like he is a bust so far. When Chad Hall, who was signed the week before, gets more playing time than you do in the NFC Championship, you have issues. Also, will Randy Moss resign? Manningham will be back, but coming off torn ACL and PCL, same for Kyle Williams who tore his ACL.
* Tight End - Delanie Walker is a Free Agent, will the Niners take someone they can pair up with Vernon Davis to give them a 1-2 punch at tight end.
* Center - Jonathan Goodwin isn't getting any younger.Comment

I feel like there's going to be a lot of shuffling this year. Teams are so uncertain about the QB position that teams are going to trade back into the 1st round to get the QB that they want. Teams are so divided on all these guys in my opinion.NFL: Bills

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
The more I think about it the more I can get behind Ansah on the Giants. Its not that I dont want freak DEs on the team, its just that we have so many other needs that have been completely ignored for so long. Then again I dont think the Giants will be able to resign JPP in a year or so so we might as well get a new one.Comment

No way Ansah gets to 19 after blowing up the Senior Bowl like he did. That man rocked anyone they put in front of him. He's overtaken Mingo and Jordan now in my opinion. I don't expect him to get past 15.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
What about a TE, Kellen Davis is really average. I don't mean they should pick a TE in the first round (where they clearly should pick an offensive lineman) but they should pick up a TE in the early/mid rounds.NFL: Minnesota Vikings

I'd still put Mingo and Jordan over them, both have just as much if not more potential with a better feel of the game currently imoSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

No way. Mingo is undersized, he gets pushed around at the point of attack, and he is strictly a 3-4 rush linebacker. Ansah is a bull, he has upside similar to that of JPP, and he can be a hybrid player or traditional defensive end.
And he's more agile / athletic than Jordan.
I think Mingo will be a quality player in the right system, but I can't say the same about Jordan. In my opinion, Ansah is better than both of them.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment

Re: 2013 NFL Draft Discussion
Is Mingo a little undersized? Yes, but don't just say he gets pushed around because of his size. Go back and watch the tape of him against Clemson, Bama Title game and probably some others I can't think of. He dominates his guy consistently in those gamesSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Right. Weight is what I meant. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
As for Mingo, no doubt the guy has talent, but there is no use denying he was pushed around when he played NFL level competition. Even sometimes against only average tackles. Then two first round talents, Luke Joekel and Bruce Matthews, mauled Mingo and Montgomery.
Against the run in the NFL, Mingo just isn't stout enough to be a defensive end. He'll be a great outside linebacker though.
The majority of NFL scouts agree with me. If you do a little research.
I'm not trying to knock him in anyway, but I do think he's only suited to be an OLB. And "Ziggy" Ansah is a better prospect.XBOX Series X Gamer Tag: AlsbronComment
