I personally think Vick makes more sense than Smith because I think Smith is going to cost more and I don't think either are really the QB of the future for you.
I dunno, I read good things about him from multiple places. But I haven't seen him.

And you're right about Smith, but I think that Smith can at least buy the Eagles a solid year or three, where Vick most likely won't be able to do that.

I think Chip Kelly's QB is probably still in college right now

Did you read about him from college or the pros? Either way I don't see that one happening so it doesn't really matter. Others not mentioned would be Flynn (would have to be a trade I think), Tyrod Taylor (don't think he's a starter in the NFL), Cousins (worth a look but no way Washington lets this happen).

I think you're underselling Vick though. Don't get me wrong, he was horrible at reading a blitz and seemed to fumble every time he got hit last year. But the Eagles oline went from one of the best to one of the worse, and even though the running game didn't seem to suffer too much with Shady out, he's a special talent that any offense would miss one way or another. Considering these things, having Vick (knowing his limitations) drop back 40 times to pass was just stupid. I'm a fan of Andy Reid, especially with QBs, but it was just really, really dumb. Vick is still a year removed from arguably his best season ever. A more balanced attack with a healthy oline could be night and day.

This is a bad time to be looking for a "franchise QB" since there aren't really any out there as far as FA and the Draft goes.

Kelly could still bring in another QB like a Flynn or Tyrod Taylor since Kelly said it's going to be an open competition for the job anyway.

I dunno. Maybe. But what I saw last year was a guy that was making rookie mistakes. He made the O-Line worse by taking bad sacks, making bad reads, etc. I just don't see him playing better.

We'll see. I don't think it's a question he'll have the most talent going into camp... but with Kelly's first trip to the NFL, I don't think he emerges as the starter if he can't cut it mentally for what Kelly wants to do. I think it's a win/win. He won't be starting for you on name alone.

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) -- The Chicago Bears have terminated the contract of receiver Johnny Knox after he missed this past season recovering from a back injury.

Before the injury, he was the speed receiver the Bears needed. But after that hit, I appreciate that he can walk. I hope he has a fully recovery. He was a real good guy.

James Harrison won't take a Steelers pay cut.

Also anyone think with Reid in KC will effect Bowes decision on leaving or staying?

We don't really have anyone behind Deebo, but that's a lot of cash for a 35 year old LB coming off surgery...

I really think that's the worse hit I've ever seen. When you consider it wasn't to a leg or arm but the back... seeing it live, I'm kind of amazed he's alive. I didn't even think it was possible for a back to bend like that.

Johnny Knox has decided to retire from the NFL.

Says he still has trouble walking and isn't even close to being able to run with the speed of an NFL WR.

Hope he does well in whatever he decides to do next. You never like seeing a young player having to retire from the game they love due to an injury.

Man, this brought back memories of watching TJ Ford's career end. That and the Kevin Everett hit.

That was a gruesome hit. I hope that Knox can find success and happiness for the rest of his life. That hit makes me cringe to this day, I've only watched it once, and that was all I needed to ever see of it.
