It's a business, not a court. They're allowed to have higher standards.

What does that have anything to do with football?

I'd take that the other way, somewhat. Money is ultimately a test of your character, and with the right amount of leadership in your life and responsibility you've learned to manage, that determines where either it leads you or you lead it.

Kinda both saying the same thing, just think it's less cut and dry is all.

Why release him without knowing the charge this morning.

Just saying thought the team would support him until they found out why he was arrested.

That's why I said maybe they know something we don't know .

              Maybe the charge is murder.

Patriots don't do this kind of stuff. I'm sure they make it known once you sign the contract. I appreciate the fact that that no one is above their philosophy.

Patriots/NFL Security almost certainly knows things we don't, but they've clearly heard enough, smelled enough of the smoke to get an idea of the size of the fire. Either way they've heard enough to determine he shouldn't be a member of their organization.

Aaron Hernandez, with three years of service, has to go through waivers. Should know tomorrow at 4 p.m. if someone claims him.

Yup. If you want an oft injured old TE. Better off with Ballard and actually running the football.

What's the rules on paying the contract when taken off waivers?

Seahawks gonna go after him. Raiders would be perfect though.

Like Masteveo said, this isn't court.

The Patriots could release him for farting too loud if they wanted to.
