I'm a big time believer in Johnny at the next level. He's just got too many skills you can't teach. The instincts in the pocket and in the open field are incredible. Not to mention his touch on deep balls and on the run. If he goes to the right team he could be something special. The only quarterback I'd consider taking over him is Bridgewater but even that's close.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

In my opinion, Houston should take Manziel. Home state QB, superior athlete, has the intangibles... not to mention, he's as big of a name as you'll ever get coming out of college. The jersey sales would be unreal. Hell, if Manziel went in the 3rd round to freaking Cleveland or Jacksonville, I'd bet he'd sell the most jerseys out of anyone in the draft. Financially and strategically it's a great pick.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
man this years draft looks extremely deep at the QB position. Bridgewater, Manziel, Carr, Bortles all seem to be going in the 1st round. McCarron, Smith, Fales all have potential. Hell even guys like Murray, Mettenberger, Boyd, and Miller would have been top tier qbs in last years draft. Can't wait to see who goes where.Comment

Try and trade down to a couple of picks, see what they can get, as long as they don't let Cleveland jump ahead and grab him. I think Cleveland is going to go all-out for Manziel.
If nothing's available, get him. I guess I'm just not as high on Bridgewater as others. Manziel is a special talent, much like Russell Wilson. And you know that if the GMs were to do that draft again, Wilson wouldn't leave the Top 5.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Besides, all those points you make about Manziel were made about Vince Young and well.....I think Mario Williams worked out better.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: 2014 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
In my honest opinion I think Manziel can be successful in the NFL depending on where he goes. Best case scenario is if he goes to a team like the Broncos or The Patriots where he can learn under a veteran QB for a couple of seasons and then take the reigns. While neither of the teams I mentioned are in a position to draft him, there is a possibility that he falls in the draft a little bit. The Combine could affect his draft stock, and teams picking in the top 10 might be wary to use a high pick on him.
Despite his size I think that He will be fine as a QB. I think he needs to reserve his scrambling in the NFL for moments where he's truly in trouble. Last thing you want to see is him roll out of the pocket in one of his first games and get crushed by Clay Matthews. He needs to really hone his abilities as a pocket passer.
