Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports free agent QB Kerry Collins (Giants) reportedly has an offer from the Oakland Raiders. Should Collins accept Oakland's offer, it could result in the release of Raiders QB Rich Gannon.

Well from what I've been seeing and hearing about it nothing seems to be etched in stone yet and we're just wating to see if it happens, one thing for sure though is that somethings goin' on and what it is yet is TBD,doesn't sound like any rumor news because no one has denied nor confirmed anything and its news on ESPN.

IMHO I'd like to see Gannon stay for another run at it if possible in Oakland at least a year or two until something comes thru the draft or via free agency with a younger QB to groom if the current ones on the roster don't pan out,if not then Collins may be the future to win "Now" which seems to be the unofficial standard in todays NFL, it has no patience to wait and groom quality quarterbacks anymore.

Gannon's been around a long time so this doesn't shock me.

I don't think Gannon is leaving this year, Turner seems to like what he sees in him so far.

I'd bring in Collins and get him acclimated to Turner's offense. That way when Gannon leaves NEXT year they'll have someone who knows the offense. It would be a pretty good plan as Collins would be established but not too old either.

I heard on the Local Radio station here that Gannon has asked for a raise.
