Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Per ProFootballTalk
In 2013, a video was uploaded to YouTube depicting a man throwing punches and swinging a belt during a brawl on a beach, hitting at least one man and one woman. Today, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that the man shown assaulting people is Saints linebacker Junior Galette.
Galette was already facing an NFL investigation into a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy after he was arrested for domestic violence in January. Charges were later dropped in that case, although Galette is also facing a civil suit in connection to that case.
Now that this video has come to light, Galette’s punishment could be severe. According to the Times-Picayune report, the league is aware of the 2013 video.
When a video surfaced of Ray Rice’s domestic violence incident, the NFL responded by suspending him indefinitely, the Ravens responded by cutting him, and Rice’s career has effectively come to an end. With a video now showing Galette assaulting a woman, the NFL and the Saints will be expected to take swift action as well.#RespectTheCultureComment

C.J Spillman has been officially charged with sexual assault stemming from an incident at the Dallas Cowboys team hotel last September.
According to Michael O’Keeffe of the New York Daily News, a grand jury indicted Spillman on sexual assault chargers on Monday.
The incident allegedly occurred at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas on Sept. 20, 2014.

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
Moron. Should get a lengthy suspension on top of the 4 games he's already missing.
At least our D-Line is still loaded.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
I hope Sheldon gets suspended for the year.
The stupidity alone in not telling your team was just childish.
But suspended already for weed, drag racing, with a 12 yr old and weed in the car and trying to escape the police?
Man, tack on 8 games minimum.
Who in the world was Richardson trying to impress doing that...while already suspended?
Let him hang with them instead of the team on Sundays.
Edit: Just read the police report.
And a gun?
LOL...year suspension and the Jets should cut him when it's over.Last edited by bigeastbumrush; 07-30-2015, 10:55 PM.Comment

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
If he fails a drug test stemming from this, what's the next step up from the 4 game suspension? Does it go straight to a full year or is it 8?
I assume additional stuff will be tacked on for the street racing along with the various other issues involved, but yeah... doesn't look very smart right now lolNFL: Bills

Re: Thread for NFL players in trouble with the law
First off, how pathetic is it that there's an entire thread for these idiots?? lol
What the hell would possess Richardson to not only go that fast, but have a fully-loaded weapon with drugs in the car?!? It's like dude said, 'the hell with it, lemme just go straight to jail.'
These guys are just beyond ****ing stupid.
EDIT: holy smokes, there was a kid in the car?!?!?
Ban this dope from the league. Send a clear message to these guys. What the hell, man....Last edited by ThreeKing; 07-31-2015, 10:19 AM.Comment

By rule, it takes at least three violations to land a four-game suspension. Richardson said he didn't appeal because, "I failed every drug test and missed drug test, so there was no reason to appeal it. I take full accountability for my actions."
What a loser.
I remember during voluntary OTAs..he wasn't showing up and the fans we're questioning him and he lashed out at them saying it's his life, he has important things to do, he doesn't get to see his family for half the year, etc.
Cut this guy. We all want to win but your organization has to stand for something.
For him to try to cover this up like a child like no one was going to ever find out is what really gets me.Comment

They don't have the evidince, among other things. Don't think it's just because they didn't want to.
