Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
The Cleveland Browns are trying hard to replace the Detroit Lions as the worst franchise in the NFL.

That's hilarious. That's like trying to replace your wife and expecting her to be okay with it lolComment

So not only try to replace your wife, but you begged someone to replace your wife lol.
Baker's statement to ESPN was that the relationship was broken beyond what can be mended. Good stuffComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
If I was Baker I wouldn't be as upset if they just 'explored' a trade, but they flew out to persuade Deshaun to waive his no trade clause for them.

"Sorry honey, I would only leave you if I could do better. She said no, so i stilll love you"
Yeah that'll be 5 deep, it becomes an issue of having too many guys that would need to see the field.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Knees are all different, but Tre White tore his ACL on Thanksgiving and he's supposedly barely on pace to make it to opening day. OBJ tore his during the Super Bowl, 2.5 months later. I don't know that he'll be on a roster for training camp.
Also, as a vested veteran his salary guarantees if he is on the opening day roster, so if they wait until later in the year they can get him for much less risk.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

And to get that visit they had to give the Texans a legit offer, which says they wanted to make the trade.

I think there's a good chance that Browns are publicly saying they won't accommodate his request only because they don't want to cheapen his value. Seems like a trade is very likely but damn I can't get over how they have sabotaged their self.Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
"Fletcher Cox was released by the #Eagles with a post-June 1 designation, sources say. At 4p, $18 million would have become fully guaranteed. Cox is now a free agent but the team and his representatives continue to have discussions about a possible return."
Definitely see them using a pick on a DT in the first round. I would definitely take him back, but he wasn't in a fit in our DC schemeLast edited by illwill10; 03-17-2022, 03:24 PM.Comment

Supposedly his preferred destination is Indy, and the Seahawks have expressed an interest.

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
The only issue with him is that you're almost have to decide whether you want to give him an extension right away or see how it goes. Not sure if he is headed into 4th season or the 5th season. If it's the 4th season, you got to ask yourself if you want to end up in a Sam Darnold situation and give the 5th year immediately
He's entering a contract year. If you're a team that does not have a long term QB you have to call to gauge pricetag. He should be a hot trade targetComment

Which makes you almost have to give him an extension right off the bat. You don't trade assets for a QB heading into his final year if you're aren't committing long term.Comment
