They were ready to win the last 2 years. How can you blame Carson Wentz for the defense blowing the Baltimore game when he had them up 22-3. Or for the defense blowing the Jacksonville game. Let’s look at all the facts instead of just the ones we want to believe

NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
This is an underrated point IMO. I'm generally an analytics believer and the advanced stats have been more favorable on Wentz over Ryan this year.
Buuuuuuut, this is the second team that's been desperate to unload the guy in less than 12 months. And the Colts couldn't stop bashing him before the trade, when doing so was damaging his value.
This feels like a "If you smell crap every where you go, check your own shoe" situation.Bills, Sabres, Illini, Cubs, basically any team that abuses its fanbase and I'm there.Comment

He can be a good QB, he just needs to get out of his wayComment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Everything about the Baker Mayfield situation is a contradiction, dumpster fire sammich. They are slamming him and belittling him right and left because of "sources" that equate simple attitude issues with him, basically. These same people were just hanging on every word out of Aaron Rodgers mouth, his every action and all of the "sources" about him, without issue. These same people aren't saying anything remotely as negative regarding Deshaun Watson despite not just "source after source" but plenty of facts. All the while, these same people took several months to find "sources" to leak the incredible degree to which Urban Meyer was the dumbest POS on the face of the Earth, and it sounds like a lot of stuff that no one should have had a hard time figuring out right when it all happened.
There are truly very few investigative journalists and just a ton of reporters.(...brought to you by Carl's Jr.)Comment

Re: 2022 Offseason Thread
Right around week 5ish I think it was I mentioned that Baker playing through his injuries will end up costing him and thats exactly what is happening. Baker's attitude, thats nothing new. We knew about the kind of person he was before he was drafted.
But he produced. His 2020 campaign was very good. Because of that production his attitude was attributed to a "competitive spirit" and wasn't as much a negative.
2021 he's injured for most of the year but plays through it and has a bad year. Its no longer a "competitive spirit" but rather he's immature.
I said early in the season that someone needed to protect Baker from himself because Cleveland sure as hell wasn't doing it. Now his future outlook isn't as promising as this time last year and Cleveland has their new QB. If he ends up in Carolina its a safe bet that he won't be appearing in a lot of commercials moving forward.Comment
