Not gonna pretend for one second that I’m not giddy AF about the Packers being done. Won’t go too far but just knowing it’s yet another year of them accomplishing nothing is a sweet feeling man. Sweet.

Re: NFC Playoffs - Divisional Round Discussion Thread
Rough way to end the season for GB. I thought they were gonna at least make the big game, yet here we are and they’ve somehow bowed out earlier than they have in the last 2 seasons. A lot of questions to be answered. 10 points?!
49ers... wow, those boys just stay in it until the final whistle. Totally outrageous end to that game. For all the absolute **** injury luck they’ve had for 4-5 years, they deserve the success they’ve seen. It’s hard not to like the way they play ball.
Part of me wants to see Bucs/49ers because I want to see that defense match up, but I’d be lying if I said this didn’t feel like it should be settled between two old NFC West rivals trying to get back to the title game.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Considering they marched down the field 7-0 first drive then were on they’re way to 14-0 till the fumble happened yes it was going to be a blowout for sure the fumbled changed the game. Then they should have taken a 10-0 lead at half.. first blocked kick. Out of all the ways to lose a game and find a way that’s bottom of the list.
Worst thing is my hearts gotta take another week of jimmy g with this lol and it’s probably gonna be Brady. I’d rather it be rams who we have the wood on
Usually we are the ones to find a way to lose a game and on 3 straight weeks found a way to win (Evan though almost threw away the cowboys game)Comment

Man I still remember when GB whooped the Steelers in that SB and thinking we were witnessing the start of a dynasty.
I enjoy joking about the annual GB playoff collapse, but I was really hoping for a Rodgers-Brady CCG and hoping Rodgers would be on the winning side.
I think I'd rather be in the Ravens situation of missing the playoffs altogether instead of what GB does.Comment

Re: NFC Playoffs - Divisional Round Discussion Thread
I don't get this mass blaming/mocking of Rodgers or talk about his legacy that seems to be happening across the dumbest of mediums.
The talk is to be expected because people are dumb, but the guy lost a game 13-10 because special teams got a punt and a FG blocked and it was snowing half the time and somehow it's an indictment on his entire career?
That game was the epitome of a "sometimes, **** happens."
What idiots. Sports fans are idiots.
Ballsy result by the Niners and the defense was strong. Did not play very well offensively but Deebo came up huge as did obviously Gould and the aforementioned special teams plays to help along the way. There were a couple massive plays by Kittle and Deebo during real tough spots down the stretch that masked some of the poor playcalling by Shanahan. Did not like what they did when they got stopped on 4th on that pathetic run. They have to have faith in Garoppolo. Regardless, as I've stated many times before, the 49ers are what the Texans should be and being a fan when I was a kid, I really enjoy watching this team.
Hopefully they keep it going, though next week will be tough.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 01-23-2022, 06:03 AM.Comment

I think the issue is, too often with Rodgers it’s ‘sometimes, **** happens.’
They only gained like 70 yards in 2nd half. It’s a game where legitimately if they just got one or 2 1st downs on the drive that ended with a blocked punt, they probably win.

I might say more comparable to the Big 3 era Boston Celtics, Washington Capitals, or the Yankees of the last 15 years.
But it sucks too knowing how much I was looking forward to watching the games today. Watching Rams vs Bucs where winner goes to GB next week, and then watching Bills vs Chiefs in the night. Now, I'm probably just watching the SB and that's it.Comment

Maybe I underestimate how much control one player can actually have. I don't know.Comment
