It is by definition a holding call. I give the Chiefs all the credit for storming back. We just got robbed of a possibly awesome ending.

He did everything he could. The eagles threw the ball a lot. That turnover completely changed the game. There was that moment I was saying they should go up 2 scores. I really meant touchdowns. Eagles got out everything in that second half .

Congrats to the Chiefs!!! What a season by them. I could only imagine Tyree Hill is yelling at a TV right now [emoji23].

I think Olsen inadvertently added fuel to the fire because when he talked about it during the replay he was looking at the second tug which was practically nothing. It was the rule dude whose name I always misspell who tried to say it was the earlier grab but Olsen just disregarded him

It wasn’t the reason we lost.

However I don’t think they called that all game so I thought they already set the tone on what you were allowed to do. I also didn’t think the ball was catchable but I know that only factors on PI.

I totally get it too. Everyone I know was confused when he went down before the end zone. When I revealed what was happening. People grew very angry that the game was ending like that.

It's like what happened to the Bills-Chiefs game. Everyone wanted that to keep going. But rules are rules. He grabbed his jersey.

CB James Bradberry said in the locker room that he held JuJu Smith-Schuster:

“It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide."

So who does KC open up next season against?

My money is on the Raiders especially if they get Rodgers and finally get that Mahomes-Rodgers matchup they’ve been waiting for.

I think that might be the problem there. At this point in the game. There hadn't been a PI or down field holding call. So in that moment it didn't match what they had been calling all game long. So if anyone is mad. I completely understand.

Watching the replay again. I think it's because of the spin that triggers the ref into throwing that flag (with the obvious jersey grab).

Think a lot of the outrage is because of Olsen's consternation and because they only showed this angle once.

The ref that threw the flag was standing at the goal line, so he was staring right at the hold basically.

I'll admit it's harder to argue the case if he fesses up to holding, but I feel like tiny jersey tugs happen all the time without getting called, so IDK.

Oh well, I was really looking forward to Hurts getting his Joe Montana and Tom Brady moment.

And also just to add on top of this. This was clearly in the scouting report I mentioned before. Eagles DB were ultra aggressive ALL SEASON LONG. They have either been caught on double moves like we see here and switches like we saw about 3 times (2 touchdowns). James took the blame. He tried to sneak one, hoping to get away it didn't work.

Olsen is like a lot of us, Neutral fan who just want to see good game end differently. He reacted in the moment….I’m sure looking back at things he’d approach it differently.

They can do a rematch with Philly… but, I think they go Bengals.

I'm not shaking my fist at him or faulting him at all. But I think he thought the flag was thrown due to the 2nd instance of contact. Like Mestevo alluded to the replays didn't focus on the grab that resulted in the flag instead focusing on the incredibly minor waist grab that followed. If that kind of contact prompted a flag in the final two minutes of the SB I'd be right there with Olsen saying thats weaksauce.

But the twitterverse and the casual fans take their cues from commentators so once he said it was weak the floodgates opened.
