    Re: 2016 Sit/Start Thread

Got a couple of decisions to make.

Cam vs ARI or Jameis vs OAK. Right now I have Jameis as OAK is not very good against the pass, and I just don't know what to expect out of Carolina coming out of the bye. They're typically not good after a bye under Rivera.

For my TE, Hunter Henry vs DEN or Kyle Rudolph vs. CHI. Henry is coming out of a concussion, but did well against Denver a couple of weeks ago. Rudolph was targeted 11 times last week, but only 4 the week before their bye.

For my FLEX, Will Fuller vs. DET or Devante Adams vs. ATL. I feel pretty good about both of these guys, so I'm just hoping for any case to start one over the other. I can't think of a big one.

    Thanks for any help.

I thought I saw that McKinnon was hurt this week, too? I'd stay away from him since that's a Monday Night game and it's not 100% that he's going to play. However, if Matt Jones does play, then I guess you would need to start him.

Maybe pick up Ronnie Hillman just in case McKinnon can't go.

My gut call would be Jameis, Rudolph, and Fuller. Both the Panthers and Cards confuse me from week to week, so I'll take Winston with a solid match up. I avoid pretry much anyone playing Denver and Minnesota if at all possible, so I'd go Rudolph with a plus match up. Third one is tougher. Adam's is historically inconsistent, but Cobb is likely out. Slay is out for Detroit so that's a plus for Fuller.

I know this is late but for future interest, I wouldn't start Fuller until he give 2 solid (not even good, solid) games in a row. That passing attack is so bad right now I wouldn't trust him or Hopkins. Osweiler looks lost and is spending most of his time hitting check downs.

Flex Play in a full PPR league:

              Amari Cooper v. Denver
              Tyrell Williams v. Tennessee
              Michael Thomas v. SF
              Cole Beasley v. Cleveland
              Terrance West v. Pittsburgh.

Normally, Cooper's in there, no questions asked, but against Denver... I don't know. My RBs are Gordon and Ajayi and the WRs are Beckham, Benjamin and A. Robinson, so those aren't probably going to change.

Well I think Thomas should be a lock at WR honestly, and Robinson should be on that list. With that said, I'd probably still start him bc of his volume of targets, but bc of his production I'd give serious consideration to Beasley. I didn't look to see what Beasley's targets looked like last week, with Dez back... I'd consider that.

                    West is a lock

McKinnon is a lock for the bench.

Sproles and Hightower is a close one. Basically which one do you trust last week's performance more. If we listen to the coaches, it should be Hightower. But I think both coaches are talking out of the side of their mouths so I'd probably start Sproles.

He had 7 targets. So the question is basically Robinson or Beasley with Thomas being a lock. I'm leaning Beasley, as I've been burnt with Robinson a lot this season.

Don't start Beasley over Allen Robinson. Hes been bad this year, I know, but he gets so many targets.

Also reflects what I stated, lol. The question is if a lot of targets is enough.

Personally I use targets A LOT when making transaction and start decisions but I've also followed Robinson pretty closely this year including watching all 15 targets of that last game. Something is amiss with that Jax offense. A lot of targets are just throws when he's blanketed or even double covered, and not jump balls where he may win... just bad throws. Either that or he runs a go route and Bortles just throws it as far as he can.

Don't get me wrong, those are still targets and he deserves consideration as a #1 WR in almost any lineup. But there is a floor.

Beasley is a possession WR often used like a RB sneaking out of the backfield. In short, he can and has been more efficient with his targets, and he has a good match up this week.

Robinson's ceiling is higher for sure. He'll get endzone looks and more targets. But his floor is MUCH lower too. Beasley is what he is, and with your other options I'd lean toward the consistency letting Robinson prove he can be trusted on the bench.

I'm assuming that's Kelvin instead of Travis Benjamin lol.

I personally don't think Robinson is a great play. KC at home is always tough and he should have the league's #1 CB (Peters) shadowing him. Bortles is surprisingly decent on the road but I'd rank them in this order:

1 - Thomas vs SF - like wwharton said - Targets altho he picked up an injury and was sick late this week

2 - West vs Pitt - Pitt's run defense is as good as people think BUT I'm not sure what the Ravens OL looks like.

3 - Cooper vs Den - No WRs really do well vs Den but the Raiders are going to throw so someone has to catch passes

4 - Beasley vs Cle - I actually think he's a sneaky good play assuming that Haden is gonna shadow Dez. The only thing I worry about is Zeke just running through their D and getting a big lead that Dallas just sits on.

Decent options though considering bye weeks are ravaging most squads, including mine lol.

Oops. No. It is Travis. I will likely get him out of there given the injury questions.
