How could Cowher pass that up if he's given a lot of dough to come here?
Again, he likes his life now. The life of a HC is 16-20 hr days w/little time for your family. He's gotten the chance to do alot of things w/his kids. He was a regular @ their HS games. If you're a family man, money isn't a temptation if providing for them isn't a current problem.

Wow this is a bunch of negativity i'm reading here. why can't we be happy its football season and panthers are underdog's yet again. they just had a great win over the redskins, they are still an professional team, and people act like we suck. Everyone knew sooner or later we are gonna win alot of games, and I'm positive our streak just started. With TB and BUF coming up next we gonna be 3-3, back in the mix. Jake, even though he has bad games, still adds that "spark" to the team that other qb's can't do.

Good win, Panthers now have played a better game than the last 4. Special teams still needs some help, BAD and playcalling is still a bit sketchy.

BUT, I'm a glass half-full kind of guy and holding a team to 7 points on defense is a nice way to get confidence...and being able to win with 65 yds passing is good to. That's how Fox wants it.

Beason sure did lite a fire under Peppers b/c he's been a beast the past 2 games.

Also, what is up with Jordan Gross - is he injured or something? He's not playing at the level he did last year, giving up I believe 3 sacks against Washington and getting beat a couple of times in this game as well.

He's instructed to let MisJake get sacked before he can throw another pick. He needs to do a better job.

In the meantime, MisJake's ineptness is causing Steve_Smith to get frustrated.

I don't think we'll have but 3-4 draft picks next year but Tank Tyler should really help out the run-D. However, if we're going to trade away draft picks, I say trade a 2nd or 3rd rounder for Brady Quinn.

Gross' problems come from the coaching staff trying to get him to chill it out with the false starts. Sure they are a setback but telling a guy to watch his first step is going to hurt him. When Gross is busted for a fall start in a game we usually win and Jake has a good day.

As for Smith, I don't see where you can put that on Delhomme. I really don't, Jake is forcing throws to him and two of Jake's interceptions came from Smith not catching the bal when he was wide open resulting in a tip. Steve needs to run better routes and quit acting like such a prude when he doesn't get his way. The old adage of you get back what you put in is true as can be in the NFL.

It's entirely too easy to blame the QB and Jake's not making that hard to do at all, but it's not just Delhomme...Jeff Davidson needs to remove his head from his arse and write up some better plays for Steve (whatever happened to the quick hits and reverse runs?), and I'm 100% sure if the running game can stay at least half as functional as it was last week...we'll see improvement from Steve Smith.

Why should Jake be forcing anything? If the ball has to be forced in one direction, that tells you as a QB that you need to look in another direction.

Not when you have Steve Smith flapping his gums in your ear. Then that translates to the coaching staff wanting to shut him up but unfortunately bad things happen to those who rush things...and Steve Smith's candy arse is complaining yet we are winning.

Steve Smith has been in Jake's corner throughout this thing. Where do you get that he's jawing @ MisJake?

It started this preseason and apparently has carried over because Steve doesn't feel he is an "asset to this team".

You need to provide a link. Cause I haven't heard SS say one thing negative about MisJake. When he had his fiasco w/Philly, he was miked on the field and he was constantly giving Jake encouragement.

They need to get Fox and Davidson out of there at season's end. I think Jim Zorn can call better plays that Davidson.
