The good news is that Ramirez was the one snapping the ball during OTAs. So he's not walking in completely blind. The question will be if Ramirez has the mind to be Manning's center.

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
It sounds like Denver is looking for more depth and competition at Center as they have made an offer to lure 31 y/o Ryan Lilja out of retirement. He played with Manning in Indy and was competent at the center position with the Chiefs. It may not be a bad signing.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
It's amazing to me how many pundits have sunk Denver's chances this season just based on the loss of Koppen.
I'd like to believe it, but I don't buy into Dave Magazu's rant about how they lost their back-up center when Koppen went down.
Whoever plays center, you know Manning will be working strongly with him for the next month until things are at least comfortable. I'm not concerned at all.Comment

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
The cool thing about the Broncos right now is that they practice against elite talent on both sides of the ball. The D gets better by going up against the best every day and vice versa. This is especially great because the young guys learn from the best also. This team can remain a force for years to come if Os can become special. I am most looking forward to seeing how Os has progressed this preseason.Comment

As much as I wish I could, I can't argue with you on that one, you are most likely right. I don't understand it though, almost every player that has played with this guy has just glowing things to say about him, yearly he seems like a one of camps "darlings." He seems to just not be able to get "that opportunity, that one shot." He was slated as the Texans starter before getting hurt, and then Foster/Tate stepped in. Dude seems really talented, not sure what is holding him back."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread
I am not sure how good he really is. Most of the time when you get a chance to watch him play, he is usually up against the third stringers in preseason. I have to believe that if the coaches saw anything in him, he'd have been given a chance by now. He did have a decent showing in 2011 when he got to play in a few games.
This is probably his last year as a Bronco. He's got to be close to using up all his practice squad time.Comment

He can't leapfrog any of them without an injury and they won't carry more than 4.Comment
