    Re: Official Denver Broncos Thread

I feel better about the team right now than I have all season long.

    That was a great win.

Make no mistake about it, the MVP of that game was the o-line. Also nice seeing our talented CBs playing up to their talent level.

Next week should be a fun game!

next weeks game for me will determine if this D is ready. a competent qb and TE in NE.

also its time 18 dominate a NE vanilla defense. i can see it now they block hali and houston but let ninkovich get 2 sacks...

      but great win today

What is you guys' take on Gruden playing so much Ball, even after the fumble?

I actually liked it, at some point you have to stop babying the guy, either let him play or let him fail. Just seemed like if Fox had been there the game would pretty much strictly have been Moreno's.

Also thought it was a great chance to see some Anderson carries, I think the concern with him was protection with his lack of reps.

Manning owned up to that fumble, and I believe him. He rushed the hand off. I don't blame Ball for that, and we needed to spell Moreno.

Well, the Jaguars put up more points than the Chiefs did. This just goes to show you that just because "Y" team did that, it doesn't mean "X" team will do the same or better.

I was glad. There was a difference between the fumbled exchange there and Hillman dropping the ball on the goal line against Indy. I still think Lacy is the better back, but Ball has played pretty damn well and I have no problem with him and Knowshon carrying the load (with some CJ carries mixed it) as long as 18 is our QB.

Well, of course he is gonna say that. It's probably true anyway, but Manning would never, ever, put someone else under the bus, whether or it would be justified or not.

It must've been pretty frustrating for Peyton then when he had to put up with Vanderjagt shanking big kicks while Brady won the big games with Vinatieri making them.

I read that Michael Huff was signed in light of the Rahim Moore issue.I thought he was a good player in Oakland but he kinda flopped in Baltimore earlier this year.

How does everyone feel about this week's matches with the Pats? It is nice knowing that NE will be without a few of their weapons, especially on D, this time. This will help Manning and the passing game. NE looked stout vs Carolina's run game. I am still concerned about Manning taking hits... just hope Clark will have a repeat performance this week.

Depending on the weather, Manning might have some foot issues. A slick surface just has "rolled ankle" written all over it. Our defense will need to be opportunistic, as I can see the Patriots using a lot of plays that will take advantage of a snow-covered field.

I'm rather iffy on this game. The Patriots just lost a close game on a play they feel was robbery, so I'm sure they're even more driven. It's tough, I think this game can really go either way. When you pit two of the best QBs in history against each other, there's really no telling what will happen.

I think that if the Patriots can't get a running game going they're in trouble.Their secondary will get lit up.Outside of Aquib Talib they don't have anyone healthy that is a decent player.I think their defense is ranked better than it is because of the weak division they're in.

Needless to say...NE is a tough place to play. Throw in the fact that it's at night, it's late in the year, it's going to be cold and windy, AND the Pats will be in an exceptionally bad mood after last week, this ends up being as good of a test as you can get. It will be interesting to see just how tough Denver is.

I never wanna watch a football game again. lol

Manning can't throw the ball accurately farther than 20 yards in cold weather. This team isn't winning the Super Bowl this year.

So was that fumbled hand-off Mannings fault too? Yeah, thought not.

Blood pressure is sky high right now. Need to talk a walk in the brisk CO air and cool off.

Don't make excuses about injuries, they handed us the ball back three times in the first quarter. No excuse.

We missed on Eddie Lacy. These guys can't hold onto the damn football.

and lets stipulate that its true peyton cant throw in the cold, yet the coaching staff dont design/call a short game that plays to his strengths.

like i was saying in the other thread right before half time, the broncos believed the pats would lay down, they got ultra conservative not even keeping the D honest. the RB's tppk a beating its why they fumbled.

denver dont adjust its amateur coaching all around and manning does not fight them like he did in indy...

tonight i realized its over for him, i will enjoy his talent until he retires but he wont win another ring or playoff game in denver.....

peyton clawed out every completion and brady was throwing to WIDE open guys, tom didnt even have to read the D....

brady has a coaching staff that helps him win, peyton has a staff that get in the way and are cowards......
