Washington Post is talking about the skins thinking of giving Mike an extension. I would much rather wait until next off-season to start those talks. Not for any real reason, other than why do it when you don't have too.

Oh and congrats to the long time posters in this thread. I know you all are still probably ridding high.

I loved all the Dallas fans popping up on my newsfeed last night. Clowns.

Tough way to end a season with RG3 collapsing like that, but hopefully he'll learn the importance of preserving his body next season. I thought the defense played great despite being on the field for essentially 3 full quarters.

I'm excited about next season which is something I cannot remember saying.

I mentioned it earlier, but this game is why I think extending Shanahan right now is too early. I'm not saying Cousins would've beat Seattle, but RGIII was not effective after the first quarter re-aggravation of that knee. (From Peter King today) After the 2nd TD Washington's drives gained 8, 3, 23, 4, 17 and minus-12 yards. Does anyone think Cousins couldn't get more than -12 yards on a drive.

Also, what the hell happened to Montgomery? Hadn't seen snaps that bad since I watch the HS play-offs. Oh well, great season guys. I will be on pins and needles waiting to see what they say about RGIII's knee and the MRI. Sadly it looks like he won't make it to Hawaii, this year.

I know there's a game thread, but I wanted to pop over here and congratulate the Skins on a great season...and a truly great draft pick who is worth what you paid for him. Much respect to RGIII and cheers to a speedy and full recovery.

Trust me, I was off the couch with concern for RGIII when he crumpled in the fourth and my first thought was to his welfare, not the turnover. He's my 2nd favorite QB in NFL.

When I first heard about this I was a little upset, but in thinking about it, Redskins special teams have been nothing great under Smith.

Punting has been great haha. Coverage is pretty good in large part thanks to Lorenzo, but I haven't been happy with our returners since Brian Mitchell. Hopefully the carousel of kickers is over for awhile.

Special Teams is probably the most difficult side of the ball to measure how well it was because it mostly based on how the players themselves do gamedays.

I think it's moreso him leaving due to wanting a change of scenery than anything
