Thanks for your hard work, Schobel!!
I hopeful that Aaron is moved to a situation that can best use his talents and allow him to get some recognition.

From what I heard he wants to play in or around Houston, which is his home.

Re: [Buffalo Bills 2010] Just the good ol' boys, Never meanin' no harm

After watching the 1st half of the Washington game i'm convinced more then ever that the Bills are doomed. I will get the positives out of the way first though:

        1. The first drive was actually called pretty well with a good balance and good timing. Trent did a great job of changing the call at the LOS 3 or 4 times in the drive and those calls worked.

        2. The O-line for the most part looked pretty good. it looked light years better then last year and we had 3 starters out of the lineup so maybe just maybe the O-Line can keep it together.

        3. Defense looks to be at the very least middle of the road with a pretty good rush D.

        Now onto the bad....

After the 1st drive Edwards progressively got worse and worse. It was so bad he was trotted out there for almost the entire 1st half in the hopes that maybe he could finish his night out on a positive note, instead he looked like a steaming pile of dog poo.

Pass defense looks a bit suspect but i'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt as it's a transition from 4-3 to 3-4. I'm thinking the defense will get better by the end of preseason.

Bad penalties haunt this team AGAIN! At least it isn't as much as usual and not stupid penalties (save for the Maybin hit on McNabb)

If the Bills don't get the QB situation sorted out it's gonna be a LOOOOOONG year.

Great breakdown, man. Your last sentence tells the entire story for this year's team. Unfortunately, I've got no confidence at all in Trent Edward's ability to lead this team. He's a lame-duck and the sooner they bench his ***, the better.

Sadly, I believe we'll be luck to win 3 games this year.

I still don't think you can honestly evaluate the players in the "skill positions" when you have failed to draft / sign / goom a cohesive offensive line for at least a decade...

You can't run, pass or control the clock with a patchwork line...

All the decent teams have very solid O lines, where guys have played together for some period of time...

I'm still p*ssed they didn't give T.O.'s $$$ to Jason Peters last year...that, with Wood and Levitre would have been a good start to building something long term, IMHO...

To compound the issue they don't draft a quality prospect nor sign a solid veteran that can at least adequately replace Peters. His last season with us was a disappointment, but the alternative to him has been horrible.

So, i don't know if any of you have ever played QB before?but you are being way to harsh. First off, when Lee Evans and Donte Whitner interview and say "Trent is the unquestioned leader of our team" its probably true. 2 Years ago when we had a decent O-line (Peters-Dockery-Fowler-Butler-Walker)Trent really performed great until he got knocked out by Adrian Wilson. I played QB in High School and let me tell you the differance between throwing under pressure and getting a good four or five seconds is unbelievable. We dubbed him "captain Checkdown" but what you dont realize is He had literally NO time to throw the ball at all. I GUARENTEE if you put him behind the colts or cowboys offensive line he would perform at a very high level. The guy is 4 years pro, and has run 3 different offenses in his 4 years(including the no-huddle crap last year). When Bill Walsh tells you Trent Edwards can make all the throws, you have to believe him. None of the people on this site, including myself are PRO-coaches. Edwards was a 3rd rounder who was a bigger upside type pick, hes 26 years old he wasn't expected to come in here and throw for 30TD's his rookie year. When he turns it on he looked better throwing a ball than any QB has in Buffalo Since Kelly. Gailey really is a great improvising coach, and although i don't think Trent will ever be "GREAT" i think if you give him the right coaches he could be a player who plays for 10years at an above-average level. He's smart, competitive and athletically gifted. He looks like a Pro QB, and maybe Gailey can make him that.

*[Edit]NO! i am NOT saying he is as good as Jim Kelly, or ever will be.

my quote button won't work. But in response to your comment I IN NO WAY said Or implied that. I asked if anyone had played. And I said in my expieriance and gave my OPINION. I was making a point not putting anyone down or implying I was more "knowledgeable" or "better" at anything. You took it completely out of context.

on a lighter note:Was anyone else impressed by the rookie reciever Nelson from Florida?he's 6'5 210. If he could put on ten or fifteen he would be a great redzone target on top of the fact that he's quick for his size. The only problem is the recievers. We have Evans, Johnson, hardy, Parrish and they seem to be locks. We will probably keep Chad Jackson for special teams. Which leaves easley Nelson and naaman Rosevelt for the last reciever. Seems like a lock for easley considering he was drafted. But before Nelson got hurt he was literally turning heads in camp. IMO I think our five should be Evans, Johnson, Hardy, Parrish, Nelson with Jackson for ST.

And did you guys hear Byrd is having surgery again!

Apparently he already had it and it's a bit distressing that it's a groin surgery as those kind of things are well....very nagging and can have quite an effect long after it's been dealt with.
